This recent trend of love/hate threads (when two threads with a similar theme are posted within a short space of time, I consider it a trend. So there) has reminded me of something I saw in another forum which I thought was a very nice idea; basically, you post something nice about the last person who posted in the thread. Simple, right? But just to make it more complicated:
1 - You have to post something that you honestly like about the last person; no sarcasm, or anything. This'll be easier than you think - for example, if it was Vel, you could just say 'I like your hat', or 'Though generally I feel your inflated opinion of yourself and tendancy to jump to the wrong conclusion as regards some issues has crafted for you a somewhat unpleasant persona within the community, I believe these are attributes which will erode away with time and effort, thus causing you to become an approachable - perhaps even likeable - individual.' So, you see, it's perfectly easy to think of something positive to say about anyone.
2 - There is no '2'
3 - To prove that I've not just started this thread to obtain a single, free compliment, the first person who posts gets to say something horrible about me (once again, honestly so); but after that it's all adulation, a'ight?

I love Buffalo Gamer because he's friendly and dosen't beat me up like everybody else does. That, and he smells like toothpaste...
I Love Squinky because of his sexy eyepatch... other that that, he seems to be generally cool. ;D
I love Squinky cuz he made Pirate Fry and that game is so damn awesome I want to cry and then I want to pull my hair and stab myself because the full game isn't out and I want it so bad and I can't solve the puzzle with the cannibals and is that because it's a demo and he gave me a demo to put on my game CD for free and I feel like crying because I love Squinky and can't confess this to him because I am secretly married to CJ and in love also with Mark and it's all so confusing and I feel like my head is spinning and that could be a contributing factor to the fact I am feeling sick and I all I want to do is be happy and I'm so torn between CJ and Mark and Squinky and Sponge and then I got a haircut today and none of my guy friends noticed or maybe they were pretending not to notice but really they did I totally think Louis noticed because he did a triple take although maybe that's because he didn't recognise me as he hasn't seen me in 3 years and actually my hair was that short anyway last time he saw me so that's probably it....
In conclusion, I really love Pirate Fry and think Squinky is an awesome game designer and also I may have some personal issues which require professional help, but that is neither here nor there.
EDIT: Oh crap, all my sidetracking meant that the guy with the funny name posted first, and now all that I said is irrelevant and stupid. Thanks a lot for making me look dumb, cheese man! Man, I don't even know you. How the hell am I supposed to say something I like about you!? Okay, okay... you seem to always be friendly and funny in your posts. I like Yufster because she's a nice person. She's very helpful and nice to AGSers. She's social, easy to get along with, and she's an incredibly talented arist. Her jokes and her natural wittiness crack me up, too. Her game Beyond Reality is awesome, and once all the bugs are fixed I think it will be one of the most memorable games ever made with AGS.

Despite me being relatively new here and not really knowing anyone yet, and despite the fact that Farlander's avatar is a fish from a movie I'm sick to death of hearing about, I love him because his name doesn't have a 'q' in it. Honestly, people with "that letter" in their names really piss me off. How DARE they?? I think it's tasteless and quite frankly, offensive to certain minority groups.
