Macs aren't gay you fool! they're sleek and cool, sure they may not support most internet games, but they're still kick-ass!!  ;D ;D ;D

They come in pretty colors so they match wonderfully with your Barbie collection and Teen magazine posters.   I'm sure some people out there swear by 'em but I'd swear of computing before going Mac-only.

Yes, sure they are. They are as cool as you.

That is why PC's are the preferred computer systems, and not Macintosh. Macs may have some power, but they are hideously overpriced. You could make a PC for about 1/3rd of the money that is as fast as a mac. Mac's are also not very good for upgrades.

So my point about Macs stand. Foo.

Macs are supposed to be great for art and graphics design, and they actually run faster than PC's. I don't have one, because they are less compatible with the PC dominated world, but I think it's wrong to bash him for having one.. Kinda like bashing someone for using Linux..

Anyway, the answer to your question is no, because AGS is programmed in C++. The games only compile and run on PC's.

Most AGS games do run on old PC's though, and since old PC's are cheap and plentiful (sometimes given away) you may look for one of those to play adventures on.

I hate Mac bashing.

comparing Mac's and PC's is pointless.  Mac's are specialized tools, thats all.   Sortof like why no one here has an SG workstation on their desk: no use for it.

Lets not forget that Mac's are usually used as front ends to AVID workstations.

C.

bashing anything is pretty retarded cause what does it get you in the end? a bunch of angry people with opinions they think are better than everyone else's

why is a mac a specialized machine though?

maybe back in the day a mac was better at handling all that art and crap but this is the age of aquarius, things change

but about the question sword master: my friend nick plays ags games with Virtual PC but it's pretty slow going mostly cause he doesn't have a good 3d card or something I dunno he told me but I was only half listening. He would never in a million years be able to play a 32 bit hi res game but the older games he plays fine

Bashing something displays your dislike for it.  But, as MrColossal said, it will always result in people shoving their love and hatred for the thing in question down your throat which could have been easily averted by just shutting your big fat trap.

Isn't most movie editing done on macs?

Then can this community stop bush-bashing and feel the love, If the hatred can't stop here, then It will never stop.  :P

What would a cheap 3d card have to do with AGS games...

[edit] Oh, I should read the whole thread before posting..

Yep. Audio editing too.. Apparently Macs are much more suited toward those things than PCs. Don't ask me why..

Stop Bush-bashing? I don't think we need to go to that extreme..

On the mac-suitability issue, I've seen a couple Macs at skywalker ranch but the place is mostly dominated by PC's (Even in the Lucas Digital section comprised of Skywalker Sound & Industrial Light & Magic).  It seems that the Macs are used for drafting, photoshopping & sundry graphic design purposes (such as webpage layout & schematics).  Arguing for one of the other is pointless, I suppose (bashing even more so).  It's irrelevant to me, I like hardware/tweaking too much to switch to a neon-box-thing.
