I'm older today... 21, actually! That means that in the US I can buy alcohol myself and go to the bars! (well,  this is bible belt state and they don't let you in a bar in you're 21)... woo!!

sweet 18 for me. And my family chose a washing machine over me. It's a long story, but if you were on #ags you'd understand.

I can buy alcohol legally too. And cigarettes. But I have no plans for the latter, and only very few for the former.

Anyhow, I must go back to whatever it was I was doing before. Oh yes - removing a virus that my brother so kindly allowed to get on the computer on my birthday which was a loverrrly present...

Based on my expirience in the US, you can buy anything if you are about 13+  The store owners don't give a rats ass.
You just can't do it legally.

Where I'm from (Venezuela)  I could buy alcohol at 18 "legally" (I say it in quotes because it is the legal age, but it's not like it's enforced)... my sister, who lives there and is 17 buys alcohol all the time. When I was there a couple of years ago, my 17 year-old friend and I went to this pizza place and he bought me a beer. Did they card him or me? nope. Really, if you're close enough to that legal age, why would anyone care? It's not like you get a magic liver when you turn 18, 19, or 21.. and if you do, I got the magic liver at 18 because I'm not United States of American. I guess in the US since the whole prohibition days thing, they kind of went nuts over alcohol, so they really have to enforce the law.

All it means that I won't have to ask my dad, roomate, and friends to buy me alcohol anymore.
