Hey everyone,

Okay, so I'm doing a 30 minute presentation about how American music (pop, to be specific) affected other countries music. I'm looking for a bunch of those cheezy pop songs, except I need ones from different countries. For example, French pop, German pop, Spanish pop, etc. It would be a plus if it was the Britney Spears/N'sync type of pop, but I'll take anything.

So how about it, do you think you could help me by providing some MP3s or at least song titles? If you could email them to me at: gregjazz@gmail.com, geoffkhan@mail2jazz.com, or simply provide a link, that would be fantastic. Ooh, also even a small 30 second music clip would suffice, like on off of Amazon.com.

By the way, I'll also accept original music, as long as it's pop, and preferably in a language other than English.

Oh, I understand the legal issues. But I figure after my presentation people will be asking me for artist names so they can go buy the CDs, so in actuality, I'm doing those bands a favor by advertising.

Please help me out, folks!

P.S. It's not like I'm letting you guys do all the work, by the way. I've got lots of pop that I'm going to use, but it's mostly Indian/Asian, so as you can imagine, I want to broaden the spectrum a bit. :)

You're only talking about contemporary pop?

I guess I could help you out. Does it matter from which decade the songs are? Or rather, do you want stuff from different decades?

Yeah, like stuff from the 90's on.

I'll have to think of something to give people in return.

EDIT: Come to think of it, if you have pop music from a country other than America that's earlier than the 90's, I'll take that, too.

Thanks so much!

I'll send you a personal messige right after I download the stuff  :)

Sacred, eh? I understand.

You said you already had some Indian/Asian music, but if not, check out the group "Bombay Vikings". They sing a mix of english and urdu, and I can't think of something more cheesy and poppy, while still being good music.
I could give you lots of urdu pop music title's but the problem is that I have no idea how to spell them in English
