As you may know I'm an admin over at cgempire (http://www.cgempire.com) and I have to say that the music part of the forum is doing pretty well. We have a lot of brilliant composers over and the competition keep gathering more people (last competition has 15 entries).
I am doing rather well to attract sponsors, to my surpirse initially, but it seems that I'm doing something right... Who knows really... ???
I can speak for music, which has had some sponsors like Bela D. Media Lyrical distortion (http://www.beladmedia.com/), Notion (http://www.notionmusic.com), Pianoteq this month... (http://www.pianoteq.com) and other. Prices for the above range from 599$ to 300$ so it's not THAT cheap prices.
So anyways, any composer who would like to join is more than welcome to do so.
but main reason for this thread is this: I know sh*t from graphic related matters and software, but I would be most than eager to start searching for sponsors to augment the graphics competition. But I have no idea on what to look, or where to look. So:
Any ideas? Links? Names? Software ideas? something? I better not start from Adobe PS of course... But after a while the range of price could be even PS, for example... Who knows...
Could you give me ideas on what search for?
Same goes for coding. What would a coder/scripter want for a sponsored price?
I know that it is spam like thread, still atm I'm not getting anything out of it (apart from a chance in the music comp, which I've never won so far), so it's not exactly financial matter thread... :-\
A coder? Faster PC, most like :) there aren't really any special tools for the job other than more software. Maybe one of them ergonomic keyboard/mouse thingies but not everybody cares for that.
