I know there are some people here playing counterstrike (me2) and I was wondering if it would be fun, to make an =]AGS[= clan?! Do you think that's a good idea, or do you think its just crap??
I know counterstrike isn't really the kinda game that relates to adventures, but still its a cool game ;P ... so just let know if what you feel for AGS clan?
If people in AGS land want to get together and start a clan I give you my blessing but name it 'AGS' and I will tear out your heart.
:)
Team AGS would destroy everyone. I don't play counterstrike, but lets instill some fear into the enemy.
there's already a team AGS, that's why CSers with short memories keep wandering in to #ags, i've never really seen the point of clans anyway, or even counter-strike for that matter, i prefer to go it alone with all guns blazing in UT or even Quake2, so meh...
cs is dying :p face it
No
CS is getting boring... :P

I really do hope you know the irony in that statement :P
sylpher is so damn right...
I was taking some recruits on a CCF weekend, and I asked them each their name and why they joined the CCF. One kid comes to the latter question, and sits there going "ahhh....". Since I had heard him earlier talking about being a sniper in a computer game, I said to him "please tell me it's not because you enjoy playing Counterstrike". He replied "what's counterstrike?"
There's hope for humanity yet.
I used to play CS a longggg time ago. Now i play Natural Selection which atually requires some kind of THOUGHT and TEAMWORK to win and isn't so rampant with cheats, but if you were to start a clan for fun i guess i would join, why not.
Guys, we all know that it's not the reflexes and the gore that make a good game - it's the story, puzzles, characters... none of which is present in an action game. I refuse to play action games, even if adventure games do die.
Teamwork, and fun is also a part. I love story based games sooo much, but there is definately some appeal to playing Swat 3 with freinds, and using strategy and teamwork to knock out terrorists. Of course, you have to have friends to play it with, and some games do suck. But ignorance and closed-mindness ain't good in any situation.
I have to admit, I found Counterstrike fun for a couple of weeks. But I dunno, it all gets so samey so quickly, where's the fun ._.
I just happened to be very bored I guess, to come to the conclution to post this thread! When I reconsider, I'm actually ashamed of the fact that I played cs for too long. Just forget this another stupid topic of me... IGNORE ME ;)

No, we all know that it's those things that make good ADVENTURE games. It's ridiculous to think that other games can't be good.
Oh great, it's finally come to someone posting this.
That's it, I'm leaving the forums forever.
ow crap... plz God! Forgive me for my sin. Abandon this topic forever to the deepest grounds of the earth. Like I said... I was stoned...(not that I was really stoned, but just and excuse for me being silly and stupid)... aww well... ill change the topic :)

I actually seem to remember your old ezboard profile saying something about counterstrike being addictive... maybe I just dreamt that. Personally, I think that it's great fun if you're playing it on a LAN with friends, but there are a few too many arseholes online for internet play to be even remotely amusing.
Also; Vel - you are an elitist poo-head; claiming that quality stories, puzzles and characters make a good game, and yet you profess to like almost all of Sierra's adventure games! (imagine an I-could-be-joking-but-there's-no-real-way-to-tell-for-sure smilie here)
I still like Quake 3 the best, but had to stop playing because there's no Richard Longhurst model, and I got bored of being Betty Boop.
counterstrike is only funny when people die in cool ways... like, when they get a handgrenade in the face, and they just get blown away. I love it when that happens

Oh no, we're not letting you off that easy. In fact, I'm gonna sticky this thread so that everyone visiting the forums knows about your proposal! ;D

Yes, exactly - I quite enjoyed it playing against friends, but when I no longer had LAN access, I found it immensley unfulfilling playing against random people on the internet, who were probably cheating half the time anyway.
a long time ago(four days ago)... A guy named Roger had played CS for two weeks... he hadn´t even made a picture to his game quest for whiskey... but one day he figured out that CS sucks and begun working on qwf again.
THE END ;)
Four days ago you played CS for two weeks??
Yeah, your story sucks!
There also no sex in it!
My story:
a long time ago(four days ago)... A guy named VWG had played CS for two weeks... he hadn´t even made a picture to his game <insert game title here>... but one day he figured out that CS sucks and begun working on <his game> again.
And then he had sex.
THE END
Seriously though, I believe that CS is one of those games that is so popular only because other people play it, if you see what I mean. I tried it once, but couldn't really get into it, and I am a FPS fan usually.
Which is strange.
I'm rather dangerously addicted to CS at the moment, having bought it, oh, a few months ago. Maybe only two or three.
It is so. Damn. Addictive. It's just so much fun to play. There's a steep learning curve and when you kill someone you hate just because they maul you each round it's very satisying.
Vel: Mario Kart. Wench.
Gawd Flippy, why did you buy the retail version, just buy Half-life for hlaf the price and download CS!
Yes, I consider myself silly.
That's what I did. Sorry, I can see that mighta been confusing. HL for £9.99 (although due to a clerical futz up I think I technically got it for free) and downloaded CS.
