Plenty of people don't unzip it.

Then they really shouldn't be using AGS...

Possibly. It's in the BFAQ though, so it warrants a workaround as such.

But I thought AGS was best known for being so easy to use that even n00bs can use it!

QuoteAGS is not for everyone. To make more advanced parts of a game, such as cutscenes, you will need to be prepared to learn the scripting language. It is recommended that you have at least a basic knowledge of computers before attempting to use AGS - such as, you know what a PCX file is, you can think logically and you know the difference between your hard drive and your RAM.

I doubt anyone that can't unzip something would be aware what a pcx file is (or be able to use AGS to make a game), but I am not averse to an installer.

I appreciate the gesture, but please don't redistribute AGS in anything but its original zip file. Doing so can lead to confusion about what the "official" version is, and if there's a problem with your installer then people start e-mailing me asking for help with it which is something I don't really want to be supporting.

Not to mention you've called it "install.exe" which doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

just a quick note, every time you install something onto your computer, your registry is edited.

And every time you eat something, your hunger level is edited.

This must be true, because even the government (http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/news.asp?articleID=1680) is now encouraging us to participate!
