Post by: RAY-O STUDIOS on Tue 11/09/2007 13:52:08
Hey....
If you're a seasoned gamer, than you must have heard of Lucasfilm (now lucasarts) LOOM

I Liked this game VERY MUCH

Pros:
great story
great graphcics for an EGA
innovative interface
logical puzzles

cons
REALLY REALLY EXTREMELY VERY SHORT

So.....

Lucas says that loom is a trilogy
BUT WHERE's LOOM II: THE FORGE AND LOOM III : THE FOLD??????????!
is there any FAN SEQUELS?|???
please TELL ME if you have spotted a FULL remake!!

This thread sums it up pretty well:

(That's the first result from a google search for "loom trilogy".
Remember: google is your friend. So use it before opening another pointless thread.)

There is a VGA version, I think.

Personally I think Loom is just one big conspiracy ... I've never seen one thing to make me believe that the game actually exists!

If it was, you wouldn't seriously think we'd admit that, now would you?

I'd take a photo of the case for you, but the game is at my shop, and I have the week off. What were the odds?!

Mighty convenient indeed ...

I've seen the so-called "videos" of the moon landing ... still doesn't convince me it actually happened!

Stop believing all the hype people!!  It's a myth ... a rumor ... a whisper of a fantasy concocted by game developers!!!

What is the secret?

There is no Loom.

It's hard to find information on this illusive game because it's rarely referred to by its full title: The Secret of Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Maniac Alien Mindbenders: Hit the LOOM(TM)(C)(R)(SM).

It was released as a trilogy on one disk though most people fail to realize this because you have to hard-mod the disk to access the other parts. Generally the efforts required involve mostly destroying the disk with a dull knife though there have been reported incidents of accessing the hidden parts of the disk using only a small wooden hammer.

Yeah, I had that disk. Superb stuff. The first Loom had Tchaikovsky music, but the second and third parts featured the best works of Händel and Bach, including some chorals, and there was an optional puzzle in part III (Day of the LOOM - Bobbin's Revenge) where you were actually rewarded with a live video of Maria Callas, doing Medea. It was a very dramatic sequence, and one of the best I've ever witnessed.

Amazing how that could all fit into that single disk. Wish I hadn't lost it when I moved, wonder where it is now...
