I made a video of me drawing a room from scratch. It's two and a half hours long. Youtube is also screaming at me because it contains so much music owned by record companies in the background.

Take a look, and do give deedback as well. I was close to posting this in the critics lounge at first, but I'm not really looking for critique so much as putting this up to demonstrate my own methods.

EDIT: I just checked the video's information. Youtube is not allowing the video in: Canada, Japan, Montenegro, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Serbia

It's also not available in Germany and that trick you linked doesn't work (anymore?) - would've been interesting to see otherwise!

Maybe this will help: http://www.sheeptech.com/bypass-this-video-is-not-available-in-your-country

I'm trying to find a video that is not available in finland so I can test these workarounds...

Using HideMyAss works but doesn't allow skipping ahead.

The very first track is not exactly to my taste anyway, why don't you upload a silent version?

Wow, that's a long video, nice. You shouldn't dismiss your skill, you do things by the book and it's a clean and fine style as far as I'm concerned. Door is a bit too close to the ceiling, but it's no biggie. Liked.

This is kind of a general plead. I really don't understand the music people use, why not pick a track from jamendo.com or something (which have free music and you can just put a link in the description for the song, I'm sure artists will appreciate it). Something smooth and quiet and slow, I am not saying that it should be silent, but every other tutorial on youtube has either some kind of speedmetal, techno freak etc. track on it.
Not everybody listens to the same music and frankly most of it is annoying (well your choice I didn't mind this time, but I'm sure somedy might) and most importantly most of the time it's destracting while I'm trying to watch what is happening in the video.
Plus it won't get banned in certain countries.

Currently uploading a new version sped up to 3x speed and with no copyrighted music (all music is from my games, so I have rights to them)

Should be viewable in a few hours max, depending on youtube.

As I said, I used music I like listening to. There are several different genres from metal to more calm and smooth music, although most of that is sung in finnish. :) No worries, I'll try to keep the videos more simple when it comes to music. It's annoying when youtube blocks the video due to the music so I hope this new version will fix that issue.

Yeah, like Anian said the music was kinda weird.  I woulda used some retro-style or chiptune type music to fit the subject.

But anyway, that's some perty pixeling thar!  I just started spriting again after a long while so it's nice inspiration.

Very nice (I watched the vid from your original link with no trouble here in the UK).

2 hours is a little too long for me to watch it in real time right now but I scrubbed through the timeline to get an overall impression :) There's lots of nice little details in there and I like the way you darkened the room using another layer rather than going over the individual pixels.

I agree with anian about the music. Your choice of music didn't bother me but so many tutorial videos do seem to be overwhelmed by pounding music. I can't work with that so I find it difficult to follow videos like that. Thanks for the jamendo.com link, i'll check it out  ;)
