Title: interactive website, testers needed?
Post by: woodz on Sun 21/01/2007 12:23:06
i've been working on a Flash based interactive website using the LASSIE-AS game engine as a bit of fun on my game creators site
Paranoia Games (http://paranoiagames.uk.to)

is any one up for a little testing/proof reading?

click on the site logo to enter the interactive site

the interactive site has come on a bit over the last few weeks and a lot of the layout is done
the general public cant get past the second room but there is a way to see the rest
if someone could tell me where the spelling mistakes are and ideas on how to improve things it would be great!
i've added basic puzzles, just to make it a bit more interesting

the things i know about:
cursor needs fixing
6DA room not finished
some duff walk areas
dodgy main character
stop enter room dialog repeating when you re enter a room

i'm working through the above as it type.. well you know what i mean!

to enter full game...
dont go through the double doors, pick up the big box... walk to the foreground barrels, if you move the cursor around just above the inventory dock it should glow read over a hotspot called "talk" use it, it'll skip the brain room and take you to the hallway

the brain room might be going, i can't think of anything more to put in there

things to do
6da room
brain room: either a forground and more detail or lose it
character
fix above problems
add a few more look touchy feely things
cut scene animation and door animation

post you findings here or on the sites forums if you want to join, it would be great  ;D

just an update, a new main character has now been created, loads of the original problems are now fixed, and you can enter the rooms in order
once this is sorted i'm going to remake my Terence Independent Terminator (T.I.T) game that was entered into the 2003 MAGS and actually make the intended game, not the rushed version i released ::) , its a shame the original game seems to be long  gone :(

I had a go on the 3D Assasin game, it seems to work fine. I'm interested to know why you chose to remake 6 Day Assassin though, and does Eric know about this? :)

Nice website - just had a quick look around. My only slight niggle is I'm having a really hard time reading the strapline as anything other than "Melcome to our morld". ;)

Mods, yes I know about it, I was going to try and offer better art but work really ate my time.

Sorry Woodz but hooray for your website!

At the time when i asked Eric, he was busy and the LASSIE_AS engine was in its early days so it didn't represent the original 6 Day Assassin very well so the Flash 6 DA remake never happened.. as time went on i used the script to get some much needed practice and decided to use 3D graphics, and credit the original idea as much as possible

Yeah the font is a bit naff! i must fix t lol
thanks for the comments guys
