Sometimes in our lives we find that things may not be going the way we'd always planned. It can seem that life might not be all that it's cracked up to be, or all that we'd hoped it could be. But at times like these it's always important to take a moment to reflect on what's really important. In the end, all that's really left of any of us is what we share with others. For many all we leave behind is memories; for Bill Gates, it's billions of dollars that will mean nothing to him once he has passed on. :=
So when Life, the Universe, and Everything seem hellbent on making you miserable, just take a moment to think back on the good times we've shared with others. Good memories they've given us; and those we've given them. And join the world in this spontaneously declared international holiday bearing absolutely no resemblance in any form whatsoever to any such or so called previously existing "Thanksgiving" holidays to give thanks to those who have left an impression on your life.
To initiate this newly declared and completely official international holiday, I would like to give thanks to all those who have helped me to learn computer programming. Or...AGS programming in any case. The skills I have learned here will hopefully provide immeasurable benefit in pursuing my future goal of becoming a professional gaming programmer; but come what may I can never forget the good times shared while learning so much about AGS. So without further ado, Ashen (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=2338), Barbarian (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=2428), Bernie (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=1421), dkh (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=1513), Edwin Xie (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=2349), Exsecratus (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=4189), Gilbot V7000a (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=8), Goot (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=2357), Hellomoto (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=3303), Hotspot (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=281), Ishmael (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=459), Mr Flibble (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=2068), Proskrito (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=503), Pumaman (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=1), Radiant (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=2002), RickJ (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=96), Scorpiorus (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=293), scotch (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=335), Scummbuddy (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=105), Snarky (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=2581), SSH (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=668), SteveMcCrea (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=1449), stuh505 (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=2202), and strazer (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile&u=1843), I would just like to say THANK YOU for your help in teaching me the ups, downs, ins, outs, lefts, rights, wrongs, and sidewayses of scripting in AGS.
And of course, to everyone: HAPPY GRATUITOUS GRATUITY DAY!
Monkey's drunk. Quick! Grab his pants!
...
Although, I do agree with his sentiment. :)
Many happy returns! Everybody meet back here next week for International Gratuitous Nudity Day!
I knew my birthday would be celebrated worldwide someday!
And I want to thank everyone who helped me to develop my skills somehow and were with me.
Very well, I'll bite.
I'd like to thank the following people, in no particular order, and with a small (and possibly witty) anecdote:
Christian Taite, aka LimpingFish, for having been one of the most prolific panel members during the Dark Days of the AGS database rating period. Without him, I can quite honestly say it would have taken months longer to complete. He's also a fan of Big Trouble in Little China, and such excellent taste is not to be overlooked.
Christopher 'Quint' Quentin Jones, aka Pumaman, aka CJ, aka the guy who always steals underwear at Mittens for some shady reason. I don't actually know him beyond our brief forum exchanges, and I'm sure I don't want to know him as well as AGA clearly does, but he certainly tries to be even handed with everyone on the forums and it's to his credit.
Francisco Gonzalez, aka Grundislav, for generally being a really cool guy to know. It's odd that in all these years, we've only really gotten to know each other more recently, which is rather a shame as he's one of the nicest Cubans this side of the ocean...and he let me play Ben Jordan 7 before most of you!
Dave Gilbert, aka Dave Gilbert, for not only being a constant friend for the last few years but for tolerating me when I moan a bit about having no money. Of course, I get to listen to him moan about different companies and the trials of developing, so it evens out.
Vince Wesselman, aka VinceXII, for being probably the nicest person I've met in a long time. I've yet to see the guy actually get upset about anything, even that time he caught his wife in bed with five ninjas and had to fight them to the death armed only with a paring knife. Now that's dedication. I think the only thing that can make him angry is poorly designed GUI's, but I don't think you want to make him angry.
Craig Smith, aka BOYD1981, for being a much nicer guy than I initially gave him credit for. He's typically on irc or stickam, but he's got a very easygoing nature and it's funny to listen to him playing games because just about every one pisses him off.
Berian Williams, aka AGA, for being himself. This can vary between a good or bad thing depending on the day.
Cameron Urquhart, aka Cameron, for being one of my few fans and a nice guy. He's a fan of horror films which makes him good in my book.
Now that I've exposed your alter egos, you have no place to hide!
And if I didn't mention you and you feel slighted, you should've sent me 10 bucks via paypal like the rest of these suckers!
Gwaaarr!!! Poorly designed GUIs make Vince ANGRY!!!! Vince smash!
Seriously, I also have to thank ProgZ for being an incredibly patient, hardworking, and awesome sprite artist. As far as bosses go, I'm pretty crap. I'm practically paying him in McDonald's coupons (or less!) and he still finds the time to be even more of a perfectionist than I am!
I have to similarly thank Nik, who is also working for far less than he'd like to, I'm sure. And even though he just went through an international move (which I'm days away from myself!) he's still a dedicated Resonance soldier!
And the only person working on Resonance getting less money than them (besides myself, who's currently working for negative money) is CJ, who does it all for squadoosh!
Also, I've got to thank *** *** and **** ******* who are fun to work with on that project that I'm not sure if I'm supposed to talk about being involved with. :-X
But I HATE McDonalds :(.
Quiet you! Now back to work!
I'm not sure why, but I actually keep a list. Maybe I'm planning to murder all these people when the load of my gratefulness to them becomes too hard to bear. Or maybe it's for this sort of occasion. Thank you very much to:
AGA, bicilotti, Boyd, Cameron, CJ, Darth Mandarb, DragonRose, Evenwolf, Evil, GarageGothic, Gilbot, Haddass, Hajo, Helm, ildu, Ishmael, Jake, miez, mods, monkey_05_06, MrColossal, Nacho, Peter Thomas, ProgzMax, Radiant, Rocco, Rodekill, Rui, scotch, space boy, SSH, Sylpher, Tuomas, yufster and zooty.
And thanks to everyone else too!

It's EldKatt with double T, and preferably as a single word, and I'm not even working on a project with you, so what the hell are you talking about, but thanks anyway for mentioning me.
Aw, I feel so warm and fuzzy now ^_^
I'd like to thank...
Shane Stevens (ProgZmax) for devoting so much time, and helping shape, the AGS Panel. If anybody should be thanked for helping pull the database together, it should be him. And for introducing me to a lot of weird and wonderful films!
Petter Ljunqvist (Andail) for putting the panel together in the first place.
Aapeli Kutila (Pablo) for being so enthusiastic and supportive of the games I make. And for being so damn friendly!
Steve McCrea for creating the awesome Panorama module. And all our module/plugin authors who do such great work.
Vince Wesselman (VinceTwelve) for hosting Heartland Deluxe, and for his AGS panel work.
Francisco Gonzalez (Grundislav) for casting me in Ben Jordan 7, despite me sounding like a doped-up leprechaun.
Our forum moderators, past and present, who devote their time to keeping our forums in order
Our "tech" regulars (KhrisMuc, GilbotV7000, Ashen, Monkey, Strazer, and others) for all the help they've given the community.
Hajo, AGA, Ghormak, and Scotch (among others) who devote time and money to keep the americangirlscouts servers up and running.
Creed_Malay, Disco, Annie, Zooty, Petteri, Ishmael, Pablo (again!), Hajo (again!), Scotch (again!), Grundislav (again!), and anybody else who frequents #******* (it's a sekrit!). They are all teh awsmoest!
I'd especially like to thank all the Brittens '07 attendees for being so open and friendly, especially Davy, who was so worried I wouldn't have a good time it made him sad. And to Berian (AGA) Williams for letting me stay in his house.
Finally I'd like to thank all the people who have, over the past four+ years, contributed in some way to making this community so much fun for me:
...(deep breath)...
SSH, MrColossal, Babar, Rui Pires, Nikolas, Kinoko, Yufster, Hotspot, Darth Mandarb, Helm, Obi, Haddas, m0ds, Al_Ninio, and everybody who I previously thanked!
And everybody who I forgot to thank! And everybody...who...I probably should be thanking...but...something...
/collapses
..and...C...J...

Hypothetically speaking, what if you don't have good memories?
Then, hypothetically speaking of course, you are a soulless demon from hell who should be shunned, beaten, and then brutally murdered/sacrificed in order to be sent back from whence ye came. Also your name would be Haddas, Helm, or DGMacphee. Hypothetically speaking of course.

I'd like to give further thanks to everyone who thanked me. Although this is a day of gratuitous gratuity, it still means a lot to me just to know that I've made a difference in some people's lives. Even if that difference is the fact that radiowaves has just "left the building" and will "no longer [be] with us". :=
I like to thank CJ for fixing the forums! Hoorah! \o/
I've missed them so! :'(
Same here....5 whole days with no forums. Well, at least i enjoyed some stickam time.
5 days without the forums? :o
Guess you really don't notice stuff like these once you get a girlfriend.
This last days have been 5 Days a Scourge!

I'd like to thank CJ for increasing the traffic to my blog by making the forums go down! :=
Well I'm gonna thank everyone that thanked me. In a rather belated fashion, so I suggest this holiday takes up the week.
ProgZMax, a man who has recommended so many good and good-bad films to me over the years, as well as good talks and shared cynicism about the world :D
Vince for letting me bounce a bagillion ideas off him that I never follow through, and just for good chats. And also for letting me beta Resonance rooms.
Paco Gonzalez, for not getting aggrivated that I continue to shorten his name for the sake of brevity and my own entertainment. As well as for casting me in two Ben Jordan games. And for many a good yarn.
And of course Victor, what a lovely chap. Constantly chatting away to each other and constantly planning trips to the others country we're both to broke to afford.
Everyone I talk to in IRC, sorry to lump you all together but if I type you all out it'd suck. So you all get this instead :=

What's that supposed to mean. Damn kids.

I'd like to thank all... I mean without AGS I would be... nothing pretty much! (yes, AGS is my life, take a hint at last!)
I'm sure I'll forget names and last time a thread like this came up, I had 3 posts, because I kept remembering more names to add... Kinoko, Vince, Fish, CJ, Lemmy and Binky, Marcus (loominous), Andail, Matt, Esper, Barbarian, even Fluke for some weird reason (I like the guy) and many others which I'm sure I'll have to repost.
Anyhow... a great community to be with for the past 3 + years... Hope to stick around forever. ;)
EDIT: Didn't I tell you I'd edit?
Alkis of course who is a great guy, not only an adventure lover.
Radiant, another great guy.
Certainly Thomas Regin, a true friend in Denmark, a great composer and a successful VG composer as well ;)
etc... (more to edit
I want to thank Cameron because I love him and he's beautiful and we're getting married on the beach. And by married I mean smoke huge amounts of grass. :-*
Also, everyone else! I love and thank you all!
