Hey, does anyone have a copy of Interplay's 10 Year Anthology and fancies helping me out?
I'm after the 4th or 5th audio-track from it, the one that is played when Wasteland installs, but my Cd has a huge gash down it from when it fell down the back of my desk, and is no longer readable ;(
Could anyone who has this game be kind enough to rip that track, please?
Cheers loves,
Pod
*Coughio*
*cough* Just wait, if someone has it they will post. *cough*
Anybody? :(
Scumm... Sorry, but this isn't allowed, you know that.
PM him with these downloads, don't post them
Yeah, I got it but it doesn't contain any adventure games.
No, I don't got it. I got Interplay's 15th Year Anthology. Sorry. I would have send you the tracks.
EDIT:
I think you want track 6.

Sorry, I didn't know that the games aren't abandonware. I assumed they were since just a simple googling for Tess Time and Battle Chess came up with several links with pages that looked decent.
I'm a LucasArts junkie, and will be adamant about not giving out those download links, nor links to pages that give out the copyright information, so I apologize.
Abandonware isn't a legal term, it's just a word people use to defend warezing old games.
Indeed, but the difference is that abandonware links are permitted on these forums (within reason), whereas newer warez links are not.
Regardless, I wouldn't think that grabbing the music track to it would be too terribly criminal - particularly since he just wants it to either 1) complete his gaming experience or 2) use in a game (in which case I'm sure he'd credit the original). Not taking money from game developers and not getting the forums shut down, those seem the important anti-warez reasons. Relinquish your sphincter's mighty grip.
edit: Thought I'd mention that I haven't got the track so my post isn't totally worthless. Is it a CDA version of a MIDI or just a MIDI that won't read?
I would like to point out that I LEGALLY OWN THIS CD, it's just scratched to buggery. I'm simply after an audio track! Can any one help me, pretty pretty please?
Also, it's a proper red-book audio track, the kind you can stick in in your Hi-Fi (obviously skipping the first screechy data track). So I'm after anyone kind enough to have it and rip it to a suitable format (ie mp3).
It's not for a game, it's for my own personel enjoyment. As sad as it seems, that track directly influenced my musical tastes........and it's only about 1:14 long.
For making it legal, you should post a photo of he scratched CD, a wav which records the way the sound file sound now, and a certificate (signed by your parent and the owner of the shop) ensuring that you actually bought the CD.
:D Aw come on, give the guy a break!
Photo of a CD can be doctored in Photoshop, Farlander! We see what devilish tricks they can do with photos in the Phriday competition! And even when the photo would be real, he could find it on google!
I say that Pod should mail each of the forum's members the disk, so that we may in turns examine it, touch it, smell it and agree that it's original and scratched.
also be sure to collect a blood, urine and marrow sample to make sure it's his own CD.
Damn, it's going to take a long time to do all that. If you really want i'll scan in the cd and manual (if I can find the manual).

I'll dig around for it if it means that much to you.

Have ya tried shoveling off some of that dirt of it?
Why not try white toothpaste or a polishing compund on the scratch? (Hey, if I doesn't work, it's not going to get any brokener)

Yeah. It's gathered all that dust from being sat atop my pc-shelves-of-doom for quite a while now. I've tried special cleaning stuff quite a few times. The scratch is pretty 'deep'. I think it was caused by the head side of a nail in the back of the PC desk or sommmmmething.
