Is AGS right for me?

i am fairly new to game making.
i have used an adventure game making program before... its called adventure maker
is ags right for me?
i am willing to work very hard.
also, i was wondering what programs i should use for making sprites and stuff.

Yes, AGS is for you.

As for programs to use, check the sticky threads in all the boards as they have LOADS of advice on the what/where/how etc for game creation!
