Honestly this game is wicked fun. It has a few hiccups but overall it has been one hell of a experience thus far. Just wondering if anyone has gotten this game yet and what your thoughts are about it? Personally I'm loving the weather effects, attention to detail, and just about every facet of this great game. One of my favorite moments so far was when I got drunk in the saloon, stumbled out the door only to be knocked over by a group of men on horseback dragging a man down the road by a rope. Lucky for them I was too sloshed to get revenge. Peace.

Hey there cowboy.

I accidentally purchased the PS3 version over the 360 version, and I regret it. It might just be me, but the Playstation version looks horrible.

I am enjoying the game, but the graphics on the PS3 are way to jaggie, and it is taking away the enjoyment of the game.

I am only a couple of hours in and having fun, and looking forward to playing more....just on the Xbox 360

(I ordered it online and didn't realize I had bought the PS3 copy until it was to late, but since I have a PS3, decided to keep it, but I want it on the Xbox, so I want to sell my PS3 copy.)

Lmao. I must have been really tired - totally didn't see that - Been playing the game until my eyes are about to burst from lack of sleep. Forgive me for breaking the forum rules. Moderators, feel free to get rid/lock this post. Sorry about that. Chalk this error up for tiredness/laziness.

This thread is fine. I wish more peeps could enjoy this game as much as we do.

Still playing on the PS3...really not that bad now.

I love playing poker.

Your wish is granted!
I too am enjoying this game. On the 360.
Still waiting for Purity of the Surf II

Mouth for war

I was actually really disappointed. I waited for sooo long for this game and was really hyped about it. Then I got it and started playing and i didn't like it at all...I'm never going to be hyped for another game in my life hehe :D
mass genocide is the most exhausting activity one can engage in, next to soccer

I bought the game last night ... haven't started playing it yet though!  I don't normally buy games 'cause I rarely have the time to commit to them but I've seen a few previews of this game and thought it looked really cool so figured I'd give it a try!

Now I really can't wait to start playing it!

I don't want the world, I just want your half

Is it anything like Outlaws?

Gravity

Well personally I've not played that much of the story missions. I'm having too much fun just exploring the world and seeing how things play out. There is a lot of little details throughout and they are great to see. It's the first game I've played (That I can remember) where your clothes actually looked damp/wet after being out in a storm. I've been hearing that the PS3 version does not look as good as the 360 version but I can't say for sure as I've only have a 360. There are some hiccups though - just last night every cart drawn carriage in the game just stuck in place bouncing up and down forcing me to restart the console to fix it. There are a few other minor things as well but overall it was well worth the purchase.

There is so much to do in this game, I'm having a blast with it. Bugs are a bit irritating but if you manage to overlook them... well... let's just say that this might be my favourite free-roam Rockstar game yet.
There is nothing more satisfying than riding your horse towards the edge of a cliff, going into Dead Eye, and shooting your horse in the head. Hilarity ensues.

Also: horseshoes is goddamn impossible.

I am enjoying it so far!

Though to be honest, I'm doing very few of the "story" stuff ... I'm just enjoying robbing people and blowing people away.  It's hilarious.  I enjoy the AI (for the most part) but I do need to gripe a bit about the horse control.  It's a tad glitchy for me and can be very annoying.

I was a tad confused at first because I got into a gun fight (even killing a Sheriff) and after I died I wandered to Bonnie's house and she just kept on with the story like I hadn't just blow-away a Sheriff and several women and dogs (even skinning the dogs).

The "open" world is a ton of fun though!  I could explore for hours I think!

Has anybody tried Alan Wake yet?

I received it via UPS today, but cannot play it until after work. I have been hearing mixed reviews, but just wondering if any other AGSer's have played it.

I also spent a couple of hours playing RDR yesterday. I have only done 6 missions so far, ha ha ha.

Gravity

Well, I've put away the exploring part for a bit and decided to speed speed play through the story missions just to see what gets unlocked. Done about five story missions in Mexico thus far and the game is getting harder though no annoyingly hard. I'll replay it a bit later after I finish the story and see what sort of fun I can dig up. I've started wearing the poncho outfit which is pretty much the first outfit you wear plus a old poncho over it... not exactly Clint Eastwood but it'll do for a now.

The side games are proving fun though horseshoes is rather boring though not hard once you figure out the timing. Black Jack is and always will be my favorite card game. One of my favorite past times on the game is lassoing a bandit and seeing how far I can drag him before he dies. Good times.

As far as Alan Wake goes, not sure. Heard mixed things about it. Doesn't really seem like my cup of tea though... a little too much action and not enough adventure. But that's just me. Personally I think this game is well worth the money. Next game on the list is UFC Undisputed 2010. Peace.
