More computer grievances, but not nearly as serious as the other one. I'm on Youtube, but for whatever reason a lot of the characters are showing up as those little rectangular boxes instead of normal letters.
For example, on youtube's startpage: All the links at the top-right are messed up, login box excluding the word 'Google', and most of the titles on the list on the left. Anyone know the cause of this? Does anyone else get the same thing?

Would you perhaps like to post a screen shot or something? What's your browser? Does your mother drive a white car?
If it's text that's being messed up, it could be a font problem. Your browser could be substituting a missing font with something else.
Hint one: clear your browser cache.
Hint two: if you're still using internet explorer, get a good browser instead.

I just had exactly the same issue, after following this link (http://tw.youtube.com/watch?v=BljXhwUL1Ms&feature=related). The issue here is the language YouTube is trying to display in, with the suffix tw. being Taiwanese or something I guess. Are you on the American (or British or whatever) version of YouTube, or another language?

Yeah, uh, I think while searching for what the heck "pivotmasterdx" was, I sort of accidently landed on the taiwanese youtube and linked to it... :P
Woo... umm I havent been around to get back to this cause for the longest time it wouldn't display the page. For some reason it is now. When I type in "youtube.com" it sticks a little 'tw' in, from Taiwan indeed as has been mentioned, so the result is http://tw.youtube.com/...
Does it in Firefox too.
It seems to think Taiwan is your default country.
Is there a little Taiwanese flag in the very top right-hand corner?

Click on it and a list of flags and nations will appear. Select your preferred country from the list. That should remain your default country.
