Recently I tried looking up some different threads and some of my old ones when I noticed that I kept getting this error. It told me to report it to an admin. But I dont really know who is an admin. Heck I still the know who controls the voting panel for the games. ;D

Icey you've lost your mind. The AGS website is infallible, it can never break.

So what about the calender? I suppose I must be seeing things. :o

Everything works as intended.

The forums are definitive. In case of major discrepancy, it's reality that's got it wrong.

Yeah, unfortunately it made a bad judgement call, put all its money in a business that turned out to be a pyramid scheme and now the search option can't even afford to go to the movies once in a while. Pretty sad story actually.

Icey

What a tragic story :'(. Opera should make a book about that.

Point is will they ever be fixed?   ???

THE SEARCH OPTION SHALL NOT BE FIXED.

I will personally fight my way, so it doesn't. This isn't just a fight, it's a war, I mean, the Calendar is broken for 8 months now, and nobody cares, and suddenly the search is down, and we feel sad and compassionate???

I WON'T HAVE IT!!

... because you don't need it, my sweet superbrain.  :-*

But there are "some" newbies and older members (), that don't want to bother by asking for everything and search a thread or tutorial by using this function. ;)

I still use the search option a lot, in fact yesterday i was searching for a topic, and saw that it was broken, BUT THE CALENDAR. GODDAMNIT!

It's a complete and utter travesty to fix the search option within a week, and leave the calendar at its current status of "8 months and still not working."

I use the calendar for looking at upcoming birthdays and to find out when the next Pirate Day is. You only realise its worth when you need it! Much like the search function! :)

For the record, Google's crawlers do index individual posts. I don't know off the top of my head how often the crawlers might index this particular site, but most of the posts here are available using a Google search such as:
site:adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb gui button alpha transparency
Obviously not as convenient as the forum search, but it (Google) does support the * wildcard, and you can just append a username to the end of your search query...
