My friend sent me this over Myspace, and i'm not sure if he expects me to believe it. I personally don't.

TerranRich

This better not be like "Loose Change" (the 9/11 conspiracy video) where facts were altered to the point of mutilation, and people were misquoted left and right. :P

No one is quoted in this video. They seem to have some kind of proof that the New World Order is here, or coming.

TerranRich

Watched it. Wasn't convinced.

Nowhere did they give proof of pretty much anything. "You're going to be implanted with this chip! And if you protest, they turn it off, and you can't buy anything!" Yeah....proof? It's all speculation and paranoia if you ask me.

The implant chip isn't really speculation or paranoia, it's something that's been being discussed for years.  Check out a few news articles along the time when pets started getting tracking chip implants for easy location if they got lost/stolen.  It's definitely something to be concerned about, though I would hope well-informed people would just vote down this sort of thing rather than embracing it as the test family mentioned in the video did (that really happened).

R4L

Terran, thats what I meant. It seems if you get a narrator with a strong, authoritive voice, people agree with whatever he says.

The chip has been talked about for some time. I personally don't want something surgically implanted in my arm. Unless it let me jump super high and far, kept track of my health, and let me fly.  8)

IDEA!!! I'm going to make a video claiming that we should all do something quite silly, but with a strong, authoritative voice. ;)

And I understand the chip has been talked about for some time, but so have a LOT of things that have never come to fruition. It's all talk. What we need to worry about is Internet Neutrality and other pressing issues...not some New World Order.

The only New World Order I believe in is the wrestling stable from the late 90's :P

I remember talk of these chips.  And I remember a lot of preachers getting their panties in a bunch, saying that this was it!  The Mark of the Beast!  The end of the world!  Jesus would be showing up in the sky with his angels any day now!

Then, it gets put in an email with instructions to "foward this to everyone you care about!"

Like Terran said, lots of these kind of things have been talked about but never came to pass.

I didn't need to watch this video. I actually figured it out a long time ago by myself. If you think carefully, then you would see that one world would be very beneficial to the ruler.
You people should stop supporting government whose brains are filled with oil. Just look how corrupt it all is. Government is going through generations and generations but still their all from the same families with the same money. Where is democracy in that? People should be able to choose more than between two rich families.
Governments are never what they seem to be, just look at history for instance. All the secret threatys and agendas are part of the current history that still goes on.
I am just a shallow stereotype, so you should take into consideration that my opinion has no great value to you.

I hate to break it to you but this movie is just paranoid bullshit.  This is the sort of thing that people with only a paltry understanding of the world around them, particularly economics, come up with when they apply their delusio world view to the narrow bits of information they have about international affairs.

Not that I'm a big fan of Bush or anything, of course governments are corrupt, and of course the war in Iraq was dictated by oil interests, of course the media are manipulating public opinion, of course currency and identification will one day be reduced to an implanted microchip.  This isn't exactly earth shattering news.

What this video fears so much is really a paranoid slant on what would otherwise be a tremendous boon for humanity.  We need one world government, this is the direction progress has been taking humanity, and only then can we begin the process of uplifting the rest of the world's population and for the protection of our shared habitat.

There is much more at stake here than the comfortable American middle class way of life.  It is crucial that humanity see itself as one human race rather than a few hundred tiny nations constantly warring with one another.

The real tragedy would be if this one world government never came about, and it is by no means inevitable.

As for the microchip id/currency system/tracking device, this is just another example of a conservative foot-dragging on progress.  So, if the government doesn't like what you do they can just shut off your chip, huh?  And what exactly would you have to do for that to happen?  If the government doesn't like you now, what's to stop them from retracting your social security number, cancelling your credit cards, and putting out a warrent for your arrest?  Plenty of stuff!  Ever heard of habeas corpus or due process?  We have a whole system design so that that sort of shit can't happen!  And guess what, it doesn't!

As for the government's ability to arrest and detain a suspected "terrorist" indefinitely without charges, the video is flat out lying.  Yes, the Bush administration has made disturbing efforts to do this, but they have been repeatedly struck down by the supreme court.

This video really needs  to get its facts straight before putting them out there as facts.  And "Loose Change" was bullshit too.

I get the feeling you're just trying to raise controversy now. You've dropped out of the debate on the subject but yet you're still trying to get under peoples skin. My advice to you would be to either take it to the appropriate thread or just shut up about it.

Ofchorse the video wasn't very convincing, there are hundreds and hundreds of other such videos, but I wasn't talking particulary about this video either... You know, sometimes I think world needs One World Government too, it would end all the wars and such... But then again who would have the power? I am not particualry against the World Government, I am more against any government, government acting like a firm particualry.
Half of the 1984 is already here, we have the fear of outside world. Now the World Government would be just a big company that shares out some leftovers to people, quite like former Soviet Union.
If government wanted everything to be good, we would all  be running hydrogen cars that run on free tap water by now  ::)
For more convenience, you should watch this: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3968544393356669182

And people like Thomas Voss they just want attention IMHO, there are plenty of those...

I just can't understand the notion that all governments would unite under one world government because of their need for power. Isn't that contradictory? It's not like all the world leaders would share power. If the point of that video is to prove that power corrupts, then it's rather silly to think that everybody would unite. Unity is not something you establish unless you don't mind sharing power.

It really beats me why people insist that this One World Government would end all wars. Sure, there would not be wars between different nations, but there would definitely be wars between different cultural/religious groups and the like. We'd just call them civil wars I guess. I think even the opposite, dividing all large countries into very small pieces would make more sense. At least the inevitable wars would be much smaller in scale. (Not a serious suggestion of course...)

R4L

Wow, great to see replies!

I didn't really believe it, but I knew about the chips. I'm more worried about the chips. My friend thinks that it could be real, even though I tell him that the video has no actual proof.

Also, while watching the part about the RFID chips, I started thinking about the Book of Revelations too.  :)
