Title: It is 2020 already and I haven't made a game yet
Post by: ras_maxim on Mon 18/05/2020 23:00:34
Just an update, if there are any fans around (I doubt).
The forum topic is here https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=16143
For some reason I can't bump it.

I'm not surprised.

If you can't think of a great idea then you are not ready..

Jot down your own ideas..

When you have some really good ideas then create it...

Else, keep jotting down ideas..

Try in a different way: think about a movie, a tv-show, a novel that made you say "This sucks, I could do it better", then develop an alternative plot and put it in your game.
It is not reccomended to start from a videogame or comic book or animated show, choose another media.

If you lack inspiration, just keep an eye on MAGS, maybe one of the themes is just what you need to get you started.  (nod) And remember, it doesn't have to be a huge master piece, a little simple and fun game is just as welcomed.  ;)

I’m curious to know if you still remembered your password?

123456?

That's the kind of combination an idiot would have on their luggage.

Thanks, Privateer Puddin'

I LOVE that movie, as I love nearly all 80's movies (It's in my DVD collection.) You can't beat them.
Now days it's all about "Special effects" (CGI crap) and no story. Also dialog is atrocious in most new films (That's when you can actually hear what anyone is saying, over the thunderous soundFX.)
Oh!... Another thing... I wish that companies would stop taking great 80's films and (How can I say this?)... Murdering them. (Just for example "Ghostbusters".)

Well... I feel better now that I've got that off my chest.

Yours.
Jay.

If the problem with making a game is coming up with a story, I have two sets of story cubes. I can roll them for you and post the outcome. This would hopefully give you a rough idea what the game should be about ;)
