They are the hardest games in the world. Gamers were tough in 1981.

Anyone remember Granny's Garden?
We used to have this on an old Acorn computer at school, with about 8 floppy disks to run it.
I remember it really being rather odd and never getting very far...

Certainly do, also from the old computers we had at school. I can still remember the theme tune now! ;D
Here's the perfect excuse to post this link to BBC4's Micro Men (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00n5b92/Micro_Men/). (I'm afraid it's probably UK only.)
If you missed it, it's a comedy drama about the rival creators of the ZX Spectrum and the BBC Micro. Now that's entertainment!

Seconded! I have all these vague mental pictures of spending lots of time outside and flying on a carpet, but IIRC it was a text adventure so they must've had good writers.

Grannys Garden is some scary shit.
@Calin
When someone mentions Granny's Garden that is the first image I think of! I can hardly remember the rest but I remember getting sent home loads, especially by the witch.
Check out a modern version of that funky theme tune here! (http://www.4mation.co.uk/cat/granny.html) 8)
35 quid for granny's garden... thats just amazing.
I know, I can't believe it is still going at all!
we should release kids educational games. granny's garden is hardly the pinnacle of lyrical finesse.
Well well, all you retro freaks out here. 8)
Since there are a lot peops that have played Granny's Garden some centuries ago,
I packed an Amstrad CPC Emulator Frontend with Built-In Emulator and included "Granny's Garden v3.2".
I also included a short "manual" called "Arj0n_HowTo.txt" so everyone should be able to run it.
Granny says click here! (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=G48AGBQP) [1.77Mb]

Viva La Original!
Could be, but it's the only one around...
I found this site (http://www.thegamearchives.com/?val=0_2_1_0_0_4_2_0_0_0_0) while searching for the original game. (Hope posting this is OK, everything on there is like 20 years old.)
