I was wandering if anyone knew if someone had converted Jurassic Park(dos version or SNES version) to be able to play on windows?
http://www.abandonia.com/games/en/255/JurassicPark.htm
Thanks!
Well, on the webpage you linked to it says that the game is compatible with DosBox, so just download that application and it should emulate the DOS environment for you and make the game run on Windows.
This actually is the same procedure for most of the games you download on abandonia and it always worked for me.
Talking of DosBox... How does it works??? I remember having a previous version, quite easy, creating a fake hard disk in a folder, in Windows, and now I can' t figure out how to do it... ???
If you don't like it, there's other DOS emulators out there, such as BOCHS.
I believe one of them is somewhat overcomplicated, yes.
The SNES version can be played using Zsnes (http://zsnes.com).
Dosbox isn't hard to use at all; say the dirs of the DOS games are in D:\dosgames\.
Run it like this "dosbox D:\dosgames" and the path gets mounted as C drive.
You don't even need to create a virtual harddrive.
Adding a cdrom isn't hard either.
In Dosbox, you can use the mount command to mount additional HDs or CD-ROMs, everything is explained in the readme.
Alternatively, put the commands in the dosbox.conf file once and everything will be auto-mounted from there on.
Maye the think is that I am a too dumb informatic! ^_^ Can you write it in a PM for me, a step by step tutorial? I would be soooo happy, that I would make an e-fellatio to you, in recognisement. :)
I use a frontend for Dosbox, as command-lines give me a headache.
Something like D-Fend.
Is this the same as the Game Boy version? What are the differences?
I used to be playing that on the Game Boy when I was much younger, but because I had no grasp of English at that time I got stuck somewhere and had no idea of what to do.
