Title: just a couple of questions
Post by: pinokio on Tue 06/05/2008 03:42:49
1. Is it possible to make 3D games with AGS. ?

2. Do any of the games have speech in them ?

nope*

yes

I suggest you read up on the engine on the front page if you want to know more.

*someone will come along and say "well you technically can do 3d" and sure, we have a plugin that shows you 3d models and such but it's not for making games at the moment, no matter what anyone says.

Quoteno matter what anyone says.

I'm working on one.

Well, off and off, really, but it's sitting there, existant, awaiting completion. Progress, even. Meh, it'd settle for attention.

AGS is best for 2d adventures. It IS possible to do more complex stuff (including non-adventure games), but it's so much more convenient to use other programs for that, like Game Maker. "No matter what anyone says." The only reason I'd expect someone to use AGS to create something it wasn't meant to is simply for pure challenging fun or love for AGS itself.

I remember seeing a very interesting 3D module a while ago which was capable of drawing polygons, can't for the life of me remember anything else about it.
