Like stated above, a new gamestore opened in Porvoo just a week ago. We've had a lack of those. It's only been game-sections of larger stores before. Finally one specifically for games!

The store isn't that big, but what it lacks in size it makes up for with content. I went in there the other day and they sold just about anything. Gaming controls, Roleplaying guide and rulebooks, warhammer figures etc.

What really impressed me was the videogame section. Not only did they have new games, they also had a nice selection of old games. I even found Doshin the giant!

Full Throttle:

Simon the sorcerer I & II double pack:

The longest journey:

I wish I had money...

Wow. More often than not here in the UK when you buy a new game it's already had the wrapping taken off so they put the empty game cases on the shelf to stop people from stealing the discs.

but when you do get a sealed game, it's glorious to open the package yourself!

are those prices reasonable for really old games? I have no idea. You know what that is in pounds or dollars?

Haddas

Well full throttle cost 24.90e which is quite a lot.

It's $31.71 and £16.78

Full Throttle costs about the same over here, around the E20 mark. The Simon the Sorcerer double pack retails for E7.99, as GAME usually have it in stock.

Never seen a full price copy of The Longest Journey, and only ONE budget copy of it, on the Xplosiv label, which I bought.

See if they have a copy of Druuna: Morbus Gravis, on six CDs no less, which is about as rare as you can get for a modern adventure game. :P
Steam: LimpingFish
PSN: LFishRoller
XB: TheActualLimpingFish
Spotify: LimpingFish

I'll have to see about that. Two games I will definitely be looking for are Black Dahlia and Zork: Grand Inquisitor.

Oh how I want that game...

Me wants!!

But where do they get them? I thought LA stopped producing games like Full Throttle..

Ishmael

I got the Lucasarts Classics series Full Throttle and The Dig a year or two ago... cost around that 25â,¬ IIRC.
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

<Calin> Ishmael looks awesome all the time

Domino

Whenever i go looking to buy PC software at a game store, they always have crap. They never seem to have the game i'm looking for.  If i could find any decent adventure games on the shelf, i would probably buy them all.

I got lucky a couple of years ago when i found MI3 in a bargain bin at Media Play for ten dollars (US). To this day, i still cherish that purchase.  :)
