the reason this shouldn't be a competition is because it's completely random

the mines are placed randomly each turn so there is no strategy you can use to get a higher score besides sitting there for an hour whacking the penguin until you just so happen to get a high score

crumbs Oranges, why is it that the only posts of yours I see these days is you being sneery? You never USED to be so hoity-toity...

Anyway, I played a (presumably different, and distinctly bloodless) version of this game a while ago (when it swept the office!) and was very poor at it. The one with the penguins and the bulls-eye was also jolly, but not AS jolly!

As what MrColossal said, It is completely random so there isn't much point to it.

The only way you can really judge is by luckily not hitting any mines and see how far you get.

my record with no mine assistance was 347.7, it is considered a foul if you even hit 1 mine. (this is pot luck too, but the trajectory of the shot is more important)

another comp is to get the lowest score after actually hitting the penguin, I got 26.6

I didn't crack the 1000, but I'll still sleep well tonight, 957.9 was my best
