Under any windows version, the following method should work:
while runnin MI2, press the Print Screen key on your keyboard.
Task-switch to windows (e.g. press alt-tab, or the windows key, or quit MI2 or whatever).
Open up MS Paint (it's in the start menu, under accessories)
Click 'paste' (from the edit menu, or press control+v)

Other than that, try googling Screen Thief, it's the best.

There's also a handy program called 'Snagit' or something like that.

Pressing the Prt Scrn/SysRq button on your keyboard will work.Ã,  I've used it many times.

I've also used it while playing games to save screenshots.

edit: i tried it with dos programs, and it doesn't work.

Under XP, running a DOS game in windowed mode can be very tricky. Mostly, the game will minimize, instead of getting windowed. I never got it to work.

Hey, I didn't get many dos games to work under XP at all! No matter if it's windowed or not.

Google for abandonware running software... there is a lot of stuff that makes it work prefecly, IE scumm VM Q&E if we talk of Lucas' games.

Pressing print/screen key doesn't copy the screen to the clipboard. I run the game with Abandon Loader program.
Whith screen thief, it copy a blank page.

Please, stop talking about other things and help me.

Try using screenthief for dos and make sure you set compression to OFF. If you don't know what I'm talking about, STFU and RTF-Screen-Thief-M.

I have Scumm VM but it only runs a few games and I couldn't save my progress. I didn't try much more... I saw dosbox and didn't know where to start with it. I also made a boot disk that did not want to start my computer though it was downloaded from the underdogs.

Sorry for this interruption to the topic.

So.....? Read all the posts before posting.

No, redrum, i don't know what you're talking about. I don't know how to run Ascreenthief for dos, how to set the compression off and what the meaning of STFU is.

<sigh> Try to find a DOS version of screenthief - it'll be a real old copy, but there are some still available on the net. Run the executable file with /? (or maybe it's -?) and read about COMPRESSION and how to toggle it off.

And I'm being patient here. My previous post had all the information you needed, especially the RTFM part - Read The Frockin' Manual. The STFU was only a gratuitous stress reliever, so never mind it.
