You mean mIRC, and you probably have an overactive firewall.  IRC involves data going in and out your machine, it's not viruses.  But if you're scared, don't use it.

Whole service thingy? You mean mIRC perhaps? Or a different client?
Also your "virus" warning sounds like it was from a paranoid firewall complaining about a port scan, either that or you really do have some malware problem, but it's certainly not related to AGS IRC.

Well it's a good thing you've warned me now. I just finished uninstalling mIRC... And all this time I never knew my pc was being flooded with viruses.

Thank you for letting me know about this sneaky client.

You can't trust anything these days. 

This is why I don't use AGS anymore, because somebody overseas named CJ kept charging stuff on my credit card.
