As the runner of the fan site Maniac Zombies, and watching only just the first link posted, I will not be adding these as links in a future news post. As far as the first one goes, it doesn't do anything in the Maniac Mansion universe besides using the sprites.
The animation was, on the whole, well done. The "plot" is certainly not canonical nor near it. I didn't laugh during the clip and can only imagine younger kids who don't really care for the original subject matter to be entertained by it.
What you think they should use the original plot over and over Thats dum.
This had a lot to do with maniac mansion it shows the daily life of the CRAZY Edisons!

Thanks for the review. That guy that was sad wasn't dr. Fred. It was his son Wierd Ed. In the game Maniac Mansion, Ed is kind of sad and depressed. And the fact that he has blue skin just seemed funny when put with the song.
And as to why the terrorists were in there. The mansion is rigged up with a nuclear reactor b/c Dr. Fred is to cheap to pay for regular electricity.
There are also some cooling rod thingies in the pool. The terrorists wer after this.
I can understand that some of these things would be a bit difficult to pick up on if you haven't played the game. I was almost going to cut the whole terrorist thing out, it really is confusing now that I think about it.
You think you could do better
Don't try and insult people because they didn't find the links entertaining.
Also, because someone finds something un-entertaining and/or poorly done doesn't mean that they have to be able to do better to have this opinon.

Having watched the same one as Scummbuddy, I pretty much agreed with him, although I laughed once, when Dr Fred was jumping on the mummy guy in the toilet, but then the joke went on too long.

I watched all of these just out of morbid curiosity and I must say...Terrible. Witless profanity and attempts to shock the viewer for the sake of it like 80% of what I see on newgrounds, sadly. I'm not against profanity if used properly to create a sense of excitement or danger with a character/situation, but not when it's clearly used for the sake of it. Nor does the gore and such make any sense in the context of the 'plots', which after watching them all made me wonder if the author was under the influence of some narcotic at the time. No, I can't honestly say this was any good. The animation of part 3, however, was definitely improved over the original.
