The sad thing is that it's not just a SMF spam bot, because it has to complete our registration quiz. Therefore, someone is actually going through the trouble of registering new accounts just to spam us with asian porn. All I'd like to ask you, Don Henry / Harrison Ford / whoever, is why?

I like the idea of limiting someone's PM abilities, but that's only going to cause them to spam the boards. I think our best bet is to disable PMs for the time being until this can be worked out. Even if they need 1000 posts to send a PM someone will sit and post 1000 times.

Is is possible to limit PMs to users? I mean, how many new members do we get a day? And how many of those are from Hawaii? We could just approve those that aren't from Hawaii.

Also, what is a the probability that these bots can randomly guess the answers to the quiz? Maybe we need to institute a written section. Type out Yes or No in realivence to a question?
