Mass obscene PM spamming, and how to block it (now irrelevent!)

Some loser is currently spamming the forums with obscene posts and has now moved on to private messaging everyone currently online, if you have recieved a PM from him delete it immediately (especially if you are at work) and do not indulge his ego. Thanks.

To prevent receiving any more PMs, please go to Profile, then Personal Message Options.  Then add the name of the offender to the Ignore List.

As a result of the spam, I did a mass delete of all PM's sent by the perpetrator; however, unfortunately this has not updated the total messages count of your inbox, so it'll read too high. I'm looking into how to fix it.

I was coming here to start a topic, but it would seem that it's already been handled.  I'm still getting messages though... *off to update ignore list.

Isn't it great this issues like this get addressed so quickly though?

It's very simple to delete all posts from a user, so the forum spamming isn't a problem, but you'll have to police your own pm inboxes.
