Title: menuetOS - incredible but it`s ... free!
Post by: wyr3x on Mon 06/12/2004 22:39:05
well, i wanted to know if somebody knows this pretty OS. anyway, i push anybody who didn`t to a " just-try-it ".
eh?, why did i post this in a forum non-related to this os ?, well, because my real idea is to "import" ags to this operating system (and by the way, the only thing that make me not to get fully into this OS, was that i needed ags  ;D )

more info here: www.menuetos.org

Umm.. What would be the point of using this OS if nobody writes programs FOR it?

cool you liked it. I wonder somebody looks this OS, and starts making programs for it (as me), learing the Assembler language, wich is not very difficult (at least not so difficult with all the examples and TuTs provided !).

Out of curiosity, what sort of adventure games can it run?

Well, it looks like you can run some old classic games, such as "Maniac Mansions" (sic), as per viewing their screenshots page:

Oh boy oh joy!  ;)   Well, if I had an old 'puter kicking around with nothing better to do, I might try it out, but, oh well, I guess I'll stick with my Win-Doze for now.  :P

meOS has a DOSBOX as Windows, so, you can run abandonware (old games that run under DOS) there. here you have a topic of the forum, in wich we speak about this :
