Post by: on Mon 24/12/2007 02:23:00
To one and all! I hope you have a fantastically merry Christmas doing whatever it is you do that makes it Christmas for you. Being with family, sipping from the bottle, having a multicultural Wintermass or doing something completely un religious like burglary....have a good one! Time for a bit of Christmas spirit here though, no? It's about as Christmassy in these forums as it is probably is here (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=ime=&date=type=&q=egypt&ie=UTF8&ll=24.95618,28.421631&spn=4.292034,7.404785&z=7&om=1) :P

So, let us all inertwine with merryment and share some wonderful Christmas tales and perhaps some of our favourite festive images. Have a great Christmas!!!!

Cuteness!

Is Ben getting desensitized to violence or what?

Also, can you find all the candy canes/weird things I did?

The artifacting was accidental; the original was a jpg so I saved as a jpg without thinking about it, but it adds to the difficulty so that's fantastic!

Are there six candy canes or 7? Is the one behind the pillow a candy cane or an elf? I can't make it out.

I'm glad that true AGSers still have a place to express their beliefs and celebrate their god without all these liberal atheists trying to take the Chris Jones out of Chrisjonesmass.

Merry Christmas one and all. For my stepdad, and by stepdad I mean really for me, a new graphics card. nVidia GeForce 6200 AGP is the best our motherboard could support but its a far cry nicer than our old ATI Radeon PCI whatsit. Looking forward to that GPU. :=

*Finally! I can run these new-style games!*

In my shop, I was actually thinking sometimes, *Should I say have a nice christmas? What if said person doesn't celebrate it?* but just thought to hell with it and said it whenever to whoever.

Yeh, a friend of mine's family is Jewish, but they seem to have given in and now celebrate Xmas like the rest of us...
Good, I say...
I hate these moany Mary's who complain that the religion is taken out of it... if they wanna turn it into a religion thing, then that's fine by me, but they should let the rest of us have our own time for giving and sharing and being with families and stuff.

This is why "Happy Holidays" is so popular in the states.

Ah, America. The home of political correctness. :)

But seriously, why would anyone be offended by something like "Merry Christmas", regardless of whether they celebrate it or not. That just feels all backwards to me. I celebrate neither Hanukkah or Thanksgiving, but it still feels rather nice when someone wants me to be happy on any such occasion.

To all I say "Merry Christmas...oh, you are? Well, I still hope the 25th turns out well...oh, she is? How long did they give her? Ohhh...sorry to hear that."

...

"Well happy New Year! Get out!"

My first thought would be to do the opposite of what would be appropriate, like wish everyone a happy Kwanzaa no matter what.

Then, I guess you do have a business to run.

Perhaps you should inform those moany people that Christmas is originally a pagan festival of the returning light, and predates christianity by several centuries... :)
