Just wondering... is it possible to get the Monkey Island 2 palette from somewhere? I tried using Scumm revisited to grab it from the game but it seems there's an individual palette for each room or something.

anybody have that palette?

nihilyst

Yup, there are different palettes for each room. All I can give you is the palette for Rum Roger's Cottage. But maybe someone in here has grabbed all palettes.

Meowster

Ah, there are different palettes for each room... okay, I did not know that because I am a total amateur :)

Thanks very much!

I geuss I'll just have to grab each palette individually... bah humbug.

ildu

Just curious, why do you need them?

Meowster

I'm trying to imitate the style of Monkey Island 2 backgrounds because it seems like good practice in case I ever have to suddenly make a Monkey Island game or something.

Redwall

Ah yes, that's an eventuality I myself consider quite often...

It's a classic eventuality.

Yes, but why wouldn't you do that in 16-bit, so as to avoids the palette issues?

I think what She wants is the colours themselvs. I for one am not too bad at making backrounds persay, I just hate colouring them, choosing the colours is always the hardest part for me.

Precisely, LRM

And I'm female, by the way.

You might recognise me from Develop Magazine August 2007 Issue, page 41:

I'm the woman in the light brown jumper-thing with Peter Molyneux coming out of my shoulder.

Note that the caption directly underneath me states that the article is about the BEST OF BRIGHTON...

Sorry :-[, to me 'he' is the default pronoun. Call it sexist, but it sounds more polite to me then 'it' and continuing on this sexist statment, comment on picS...ZA,ZA,ZING! ;D ;)

I removed the bunny jumper one because it was too saucy.
