Does someone knows where to download The curse of Monkey Island?
The first two where easy to find but I can't find the third...
It's on the games page, try searching for different terms, you'll get it the eventually.
downloading is bad. bad and wrong, anyways, you can buy it from lucasarts for like ten quid or 15 dollars.
http://www.lucasarts.com/companystore/monkey/
It's not hard, it's all over the internet. You might find this link helpful tough:

Good luck!

You stole that from a clip or movie I've seen somewhere, but I can't remember what :-X :=
Teh legendary Kung Pow!
The time you'll spend to find and download Monkey Island could be used to earn the money and buy it.

Exactly! That's hours of work searching for warez that could be used to do productive things, like petting kittens, making gifts for orphans, and visiting resting homes.
or reading rules..... ::)
Try Emule, it's like kazaa, but with 10x more content...
You can download it here:
ftp://ftp.lucasarts.com/demos/pc/cursedemo.exe
Serial number is:
1234-STARWARS
...and don't you dare to tell him where to find it.
It makes me mad.
You can also find it at e-bay quite cheap I guess.
At least in computer stores.

Sorry, had to modify this to make it more realistic...
Downloading is the primary reason game companies don't find adventure games profitable enough and they make only sports-game-crap, since that's a sure sell. (They make profit even with all the downloading.)
If it's a good game, you should buy it so they make more good games. It takes a lot of work to create one. Even if I download something, if it's good, I usually end up buying it. I'm sure you can buy CoMI for ~$10.

Try Emule, it's like kazaa, but with no spyware or ad-ware... And it's horribly slow, too!

While discussion of abandonware is ok on these forums, we need to be careful about how we define it. What I'd say is that if the company that made the game is no longer selling it, then it's fair game to download it since they don't expect to make any more money from it.
In the case of Monkey Island 1 and 2, this is the case, since Lucasarts no longer sell them.
However, they do still sell MI3 and 4, so there's really no excuse not to buy them.
I think he left already.
Why dont adv companies just make there games downloadable with purchase?
No no then again bad idea you wont have nice sound etc.. Forget it.
Yeah it sucks that no real adv companies still produce realy quality games. :(

how can you say that there are no companies out there creating adventures?
there are a ton.
Autumn Moon, Tell Tale, Adventure Company -> has a ton of individual companies.

He said "realy [sic] quality".
I must agree.
Hmm am I the only one confused by the last post? ???
Since this thing's been resurrected, I thought I'd add an observation. LucasArts has severely reduced their PC Games for sale list. They don't seem to offer the archives anymore and I could find no page relating to Sam and Max (Original or 2k4 Cancelled one). It's rather a pain to try to find something other than Star Wars on the site.
