Hi. I havent used PSP in about 3 or 4 years at least, but really want to start using it again to develop a game. The last version I used was version 8, but IIRC, the interface started to decline from about 6 onwards, and now I see they are Corel and version X2 I am worried that it's gone completely.

So is there anyone that's been using it for this long and can tell me which version was the best? I think I remember version 7 was the best before it got overloaded with features, but can someone set me straight?

For the record, I had been on linux for quite a while and become accustomed to the GIMP, but would still prefer PSP over it.

Yuck. Personally, I'd choose Photoshop. I know that contradicts the whole point of this thread, but I used to use PSP as well... I got used to Photoshop once I went to school for graphic & web design.

yeah but I always found psp better suited for 8-bit editing.

I used version 9 for a long time and switched to version 11 when it came out. It was buggy and eventually refused to even open so I switched back to version 9.
Ah! There is no emoticon for what I'm feeling!
