Apple unveils $499 iPad tablet

Hehe,  they stole my idea.  I actually thought of something like this 10 years ago as part of a game interface.  The game was to be set in the year 2010 and the player character was to be able to communicate with his HQ and access the Internet via a device called iComm.    I suppose I made a lucky guess at where the tech was going and the time frame involved but it's spooky how close I came to reality.  

Anyway, I think it's an interesting gadget and that some of you may want to comment about it.  I thought I'd share my little story as it seems like a perfect segway into the actual article here:
