I wondered whether it would be possible that the forum lays out of different category a "languages" with subforums.

Example .

AGS Games in Production
Promote the game you're developing, and see what others are up to.

Hints and Tips
Stuck in Larry Vales? Fed up with Pleurghburg? Dying in King's Quest? Post here for help.

Another Languages
Here all people don't know english can post.
Subforums
-French
-Spanish
-Deutsch
-...

many people not speaking English would like to share this marvellous software with people whom they understand.

Thanks AGS for this perfect software  8)

Well, these forums are just the "official" place - and anyway, some english is always required, at least to read the manual. But you're free to start your own French AGS community, with your own forums. There is a german AGS community, and there used to be GAC - Greek AGS Community, I believe. They didn't have their own forums, I don't think, but you get the point. :)

It's certainly more practical and easier to maintain than having several language-subcategories, too.

Yes. Many of our moderators only speak english. It'd be far too difficult to run several more sub-categories.

Yes, maintaining a multi-language forum is really too much hassle.

Firstly, you'd need a couple of moderators who spoke each language.
Then, you'd have technical questions asked which nobody in that language forum could answer, and they'd end up having to be translated to English and re-posted to the main Tech forum.

I don't really see any benefit to foreign-language forums here, however as has been noted there are external German forums and you could start your own.
