Well, the title says it all, something to enjoy these festive days with, in a cozy place.
But, you need to know the configuration of them first.
The one that is the main, this one, is a standard (3 years old i believe) P4 2.4Ghz, 512 DDR, GeForce Ti4200 128DDR, then there are two laptops, one is a P3 on 700Mhz i believe and the other is a Celeron on 1.5Ghz with 256MB (it says DDR2 and then SDRAM).
Anyways. What I'm looking for is a fun game, no matter what genre, that me and my friends can play. As you see the graphics aren't and can't be a priority.
FPS, racing, RTS, platformers...! just shoot!
And a Merry Xmas too. :)
I'm not sure if it works over LAN as opposed to internet, but Neverwinter Nights is a good multiplayer RPG to play with friends.
Neverwinter Nights works over LAN and is indeed a good game to play with some friends.
I also like Age of Mythology.
Both should work on the computers you got.
Good old Starcraft or maybe Quake 2 or 3.
A mozete da uzmete The Longest Journey i da ga igrate uporedo dok ga ne zavrsite ili ne umrete jer je zaista LONGEST ali i je jedna od najjboljih avantura ikada.
Sto ne zoves ;D
Original Half-life! Unreal Tournament!
For RTS side, I'd have a game or two Red Alert (1 and 2), Warcraft 2 and Age of Empires 2.
Racing? Need for speed: hot pursuit 2
And hell no, I'm not leaving Carmageddon out of this!
These games are very fun even with 3 players.
But wLAN? what's that? :P
I believe wLAN is Wireless LAN, correct? ::)
I second NWN and AOE 2. Awsome games, no lag.
Dude. Doom coop. It's the best thing ever. failing that, quake 2 coop. but doom was better in coop
and warcraft 2 :D
This is a lot of suggestions and I'll try to play most of them. The purpose after all, is to have fun. :)
Also, I may have some questions about networking here and there, he he.
Just fun game:
Blockland (http://www.blockland.us/) - For real fun, download the AiOR m0d in the forums.
FPS:
Quake II DM and CTF, (maybe Quake III, but my friends and I have never really been into that.), Unreal Tournament, Unreal Tournament 2004, Call of Duty, Battlefield II, Doom II, Wolfenstein 3D (for nostalgia!), Quake I, Half Life DM, Counterstrike, Counterstrike Source, Half Life II DM.
RTS:
Warcraft III: Frozen Throne: Dota, Dark Deeds, The Summoner ... hmmm I'm not much of an RTS gamer!
hmmm ... that's all I can think of at the moment. Oh yes, and how about a nice Monkey Island lan ;D See who can beat the game first!
I never had so much fun as when my roommates and I (there were four of us) took on 25 bots in Unreal Tournament.
On those long winter nights in Michigan we'd all sit at our computers (we had wireless headsets so we could all communicate) and we'd play for HOURS on end. I was the sniper ... I covered the guys as they ran to get the flag. We'd put the bots on the hardest skill level and eventually we got REALLY [pathetically] good at it.
Ahhhh ... the memories.
Carmageddon 2...
a little buggy but holy god do I love playing it with my friends...
If your computers are good enough, there's Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. Theat's a personal favorite of mine. Pretty darn cool to play. :)
- Huw
Hm. Thinking again, I totally left out Command & Conquer Generals. It may be the best RTS out there, once you get used to it and fell in love with its music, cool speech and overall atmosphere.
Let your friends choose all different factions (there's three total, so it's good) and unite your advantages (USA has good overview of stuff and map, GLA has some great sneaky weapons and China has strongest tanks), make an alliance with them and take on 5 brutal AI enemies or so. Super fun guaranteed.
Eyebag, call of duty 1 or 2? Because I am deep with part two and it should be nice to make a clan or something... :)
CoD 1 unfortunately. I don't have CoD II, but I'd love to get my hands on it. Maybe next christmas! Or birthday!
I had alot of fun with Warcraft 3 TFT, though if you ask me custom maps are alot better than meelee...
