Mac
I should just mention now that I don't want any posts saying "Get a PC" or "Ha Ha. Gutted."
I actually want a serious answer for this.
Right now, I have to use SilverCreator, made by a fifteen year old in Texas (don't diss, he's doing an amazing job.) So far this is the only decent free application for game - making on the Mac, and  it certainly isn't specialized in adventure games, though I've succeeded to some extent.
I am currently waiting until MAD Adventure Game Engine Documentation ports to Mac, like it says on their site, but until then, just a few questions.

1. Is there any prospect of AGS porting to Mac soon, or ever?
2. Would it be difficult for a novice like me to try and adapt AGS myself so that it is Mac compatable.*
3. Do you know of any better Mac game makers?•

*If so, I would need very detailed, patient instructions. :-\

•Please don't direct me to a massive list of game makers - I already have one (about 200 -300 listed) and have given all Mac ones (about 10) a good look.

Thanks for reading all that - PLEASE help if you can! :-[
LucasArts rocks!

Well there're some small talk about it some time earlier:

I think that unfortunately, a mac port may not exist in the near future, actually I think even just porting the game engine can be cool (I never own a mac and is not that much interested myself tho).

Not totally relevant but I noticed your signature, it looks like you haven't heard of http://www.scummvm.org which will run almost all the Lucasarts 2d adventure games including MI3 (apart from the ship to ship fighting bit but that's not too important) and also a couple of non Lucasarts adventures, it has a mac port available.

A Mac port of the AGS editor doesn't sound very likely, there isn't a linux version yet even though the runtime engine has been ported to linux.  I think you'll just have to wait for another engine, or try and run AGS in a PC emulator on your mac.. or (even though you said not to say it) get a cheap second hand pc.. AGS doesn't require anything expensive.

Scumm can run MI3? I have it, and have played all the classic LucasArts adventures, but I did not realise that it could run COMI.

By the way - someone should make THE scumm engine, to make LucasArts style games EXACTLY. Is there one?

That would just be coding the games, none of AGSs nice features and fancy windows editor

I'd still be pretty interested! :-\
Still no-one with info on how to port to Mac?

To port to mac you need to offer to port it, get the source code from CJ and try to get it to compile on a mac, which might be hard considering it wasn't initially meant to be cross platform, (specially the editor, I think).

You probably won't be able to do it unless you have programming experience on the mac, if you want a port you'd have to find a responsible person who does know how to do it and get them to offer to port it, like the Linux port.  The Linux port doesn't have the editor ported though, just the runtime engine, and I don't think it'll be any easier on mac.

did they stop making all those windows emulators for the mac?  I remember having a windows card in one of my old macs.
