Title: Music Publishing Problem
Post by: PsychicHeart on Sat 09/09/2006 00:53:10
Okay, so I'm starting to really "get into" using the inter-web for means of music publication, and while i can compose, record etc. fine, there is one slight detail that troubles me.
With most music running on WMP/similar it shows the artist's name above the song playing (like  this  (http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/uunt.gif)).
I've tried looking through the settings/startup wizard on my Composition program (NoteWorthy Composer), but to no avail. On the startup screen it DOES ask you for the composer's name, which i do put in every time, but this does not show up on the finished project anywhere except in the Properties.
Anyone know if there is a program or anything to help destroy this problem?
Cheers,
Fluke.

I don't believe that midis have the ID capabilities of an MP3, though I'm not 100% sure.  You could, if you want, right-click on your midi, open properties, and edit the summary, thought I'm not sure whether or not that will alter anything when it comes to WMP pasting your name all cool and professional like with bold lettering.

I don't think that midis have the id capabilities of mp3.

The only way around it is to name your tracks as : "Around you (Flukeblake)" or something simmilar.

1. Open it in Winamp.
2. Double-click on title (enter 'file info')
3. Push "RMI Info..."
4. Edit.
5. Push "Save..."
6. Save as .RMI
7. Voila!
