Ok, I've stumbled across this song on the radio three times now, it really caught my attention and I can't for the life of me figure out what the song is called or who sings it. Here's what I can describe:

- I'm pretty sure the lyrics include "why must all good things come to an end", though searching for that on the net didn't help at all.

- It's either a female lead singing over a recording of her own voice, or mutiple female voices, in a very pop-style blend

- There's a main theme to the song which at the end is whistled along with the voices.

- Sounds like a 4/4 (unsurprisingly). Rhythm of the main theme is like "crochet, crochet, quaver quaver quaver quaver crochet, crochet, quaver quaver quaver quaver crochet, crochet" somewhat (I know I actually did 10 beats instead of eight), and this is the theme that gets whistled. If I were surer about the melody of this theme I could whip up a quick midi illustrating it, but I'm not.

- It's a rather soothing piece of music, including some of the electronic beats that have become popular in today's pop music but with none of the agressiveness one sometimes hears.

- She sounds american (also unsurprisingly).

Yeah, I know how unlikely it is that anyone can help me from this info, but I just had to try, this is driving me *nuts*. I really fancy this song. Any help at all would meet with my extreme gratitude.

Could it possibly be Norah Jones?
The fediverse needs great indie game developers! Find me there!

YES! Thank you VERY MUCH. Norah Jones and/or Nelly Furtado.

If it's very pop-style blend I wouldn't think it's Nora Jones.

Nelly Furtado does have a new song called "Say it Right" which could be what you're looking for.  It's very pop-ish and yet, at the same time, rather catchy.

I normally try and add an extra word.

Googled : " why must all good things come to an end song lyrics"

And as you can see found awesome stuff!

Hope this helped :)

Nelly Furtado "All Good Things"
Is it the song you wanted?

Rui 'Trovatore' Pires

Ayuh, I forgot to say. My post to Alliance was soon after I got off youtube having watched "All Good Things (Come To An End)", which was actually "why DO all good things come to an end". Searching for Norah Jones also wielded some results, but I haven0t checked them out yet.

While you're at it, check out Norah Jones' "Sunrise". A very peaceful song that makes me calm and warm inside.

Or "Rosie's Lullaby" from her new album.
