Title: .naming a song
Post by: Czar on Wed 17/05/2006 00:52:15
Thanks for viewing.
Today on the radio I heard some song I've heard a million times before and about 20 mins ago it came to me that I want to download it.

Now, I remember the melody, and I believe the host was saying it was a ronan keating song. If it is not necessary, I would rather not hum the melody on my microphone, but rather I'd like you to make something out of these lyrics (they are app.):

.....the whole world (?to see?) that/and I don't want to miss you again....

obviously, these are not the real lyrics because I tried googling them, but if someone knows what I'm talking about, I'd appreciate it if he would post the info here.

peace

Thanks for the quick reply.
It is not don't wanna miss a thing.
I also thought it was, but only for a second, when I realised that it's a totally different melody.

No idea, lyrics dont seem to match anything Keating's done.

You tried looking through normal Boyzone lyrics?

Wait, I'll hum.
Any decent fast upload site?

edit: alright. I knew those sopran 101 classes i took last year would pay off.

There was some kind of java program on the internet that distinguishes melodies of songs from taps on the space bar. So you can tap it to the rhythm of the song, and it gives a bunch of alternatives. Can't remember what the prog was called though.

That tapping program was rubbish though!

Try it out anyway I guess..

Otheriwse I'll ask my dad who sings ronan on karaoke in the comfort of his own home.

Goo Goo Dolls - Iris (http://www.lyrics007.com/Goo%20Goo%20Dolls%20Lyrics/Iris%20Lyrics.html)?

It's not Ronan, but it's the first thing that comes to mind from the tune, and I think the lyrics kind of fit, in a 'didn't quite catch them' way.

without listening to your soprano rendition, I believe what Ashen suggested is probably it.

And after listening to your rendition, I'm conviced its the song Ashen suggested.
