I don't know if this is the right place to ask this.  I've been reading how you can use ScummVM or DOS Box to run older games on Windows XP.  But has anyone been able to find a way to play Curse of Monkey Island on Windows XP?  This definitely doesn't work with ScummVM.

Ubel

It works just fine with my computer and I have Windows XP. What is the exact problem that you are having with playing it?

Scummbuddy

I think you may just be able to play Curse on XP.

You may want to see if you can use one of the two launchers on this site:

- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

Yep, it definitely works with scummvm, i use it to play the pc version on my mac, and im hoping to get it onto a memory stick so i can play it on my psp. Mmmmm, porable CMI, *drools*...

I'm on XP, and Curse works perfectly fine!

It works for me with or without SCUMMVM, but if I use SCUMMVM I lose the real main menu. So I don't, natch.

And if it doesn't, don't bother.
That's probably what the Curse of Monkey Island is about.

It seems the curse has been lifted, and it works on my computer now.

I can't figure out why it didn't work before.  I always got a error message that my computer couldn't read a dos based program or something to that effect.  But now it seems to be fine.
