Hi guys

I always fancied myself as a bit of a writer, and since I was a child I have always thought that if I had a crack team of programmers and artists I could make a better game than Sierra or lucusarts any day of the week.

Here’s my proposal

I have written a basic script for a game I have called legends and lore, I have very little programming experience, although I have read the tutorial on this site, so I'm quite sure I'm capable in assisting with the programming side of things. My problem is the drawing - I can’t draw to save my life.

Anyone who has an artistic bone in their body and feels like making the game to rival all games and quite possible make people say Sierra who.

Could you kindly contact me at franm@yebo.co.za

Kind regards

Hello zenobia and welcome to the forum!

I'm not a moderator, but maybe you want to post here rather than in General Discussion.

Good luck with your game

Also when you post in the recruit a team thread, most people when asking for help for a game such as this, always leave out on the details.  I'm aware you've got a super secret storyline that you want to stay secret until the game is made, which is fine, but at least tempt the artists out there by saying what kind of art style they'll be doing.

Tell us what kind of setting or genre.  Is it Sci-fi?  Is it fantasy?  Will the artist be drawing space ships and metal corridors, or will the artist be drawing wooden huts and hay?  Will the artist being doing All the work, or do you just need a background or character artist?  Etc.

It's harder to get someone interested if they have to ask this information for themselves.  :P  This wasn't directed at you mainly, most people on these forums requesting for help also seem to be vague on the details.

Also, welcome to the forum. :)

I'm gonna lock this, as we don't encourage people to use the general forum for personal advertisement.

The biggest problem with initiating ambitious projects and assembling teams is that few people will trust your skills and committment until you've created a game on your own. That's really the best way to go.
