Title: Need help with music!
Post by: MYKAYEL on Thu 26/02/2009 16:32:27
Hello everybody!
Well, for the billionths time, I'm going to start an AGS Project. For the very first time I'm actually gonna RELEASE it.  :P The game will take a lot of time to complete and I really don't wish to announce information about it until it is closer to completion. The only problem I have is that I need music for it. I pretty much doubt it's legal to use licensed music for it even if you have all those songs legally. That's a little unfair in my opinion (since I have bought a lot of songs that would be PERFECT for the game), but hey, the law's the law. The game will be completely freeware and will come out later this year.

Can anyone provide some home-made music for it? What I'm interested in is music that invokes a sense of tension and mystery (3 themes to be exact), 2 songs that will be full-on-alternative-rock for a few combat sequences, 1 sad theme that awakens a sense of pity for the character and 1 main menu theme that is slow and saddening. If anyone can help with any 1 or 2 songs I will greatly appreciate it. MIDI or MP3 will be fine.

Have you tried http://incompetech.com/ (http://incompetech.com/)? It's a great resource for that sort of thing.

I might be able to help ya!

I compose midi-stuff for fun and I could probably whip something up in a few weeks, if you're still interested?

Thanks a lot for the site!
Oh and Bulbapuck, yes I would be intrested and would remain gratefull.

I've just started working on one of the hardest parts of the game, the quick time events :P or actually more like button-matching sequences. (Such as the ones in God Of War or Fahrenheit) So far it's coming along perfectly. :D
