Fan-freakin'-tastic.
Found out there was a small patch of decay between two of my teeth (thankfully they caught it just in time). But come November, I'll be needing fillings.
Yeah, my luck had to run out at some point.
If it's any comfort, the WHO estimates that about 2.3 billion people worldwide have decay in their permanent teeth (https://atriumdental.net/how-common-are-cavity-fillings/) so it's quite common.
Yeah don't feel too bad about it, I myself have 4 ceramic fillings, got them around 14, I get checked by the dentist pretty much annually and I never really needed to do anything to them since (or yet, I'm 32 now). Catching them early and regular upkeep really does prevent them getting worse.
EDIT: And I've always been very particular about making sure to brush my teeth since I was a child, sometimes it's just inevitable, everyone is different and there are places too hard to reach.
This reminds me. I need to floss more often. (nod)
