Some of you may rember a thread i posted a while ago, stating that whenever i played an ags game, i would be greeted with a blank black screen. I have taken a screenshot (http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/this.gif). I have attempted a lot of things in a try to fix this problem.

Anyone who thinks they can help, it would be extremely appreciated.

That's usually due to a video driver conflict of some sort, either a buggy/improper driver installation or missing/outdated components of Direct X.
Is this happening in windowed or full-screen mode (or both)?
Any other games exhibit this? What kind? (3D, other 2D games)
It's hard to chase down the problem with no feedback, but reinstalling your video drivers and DX 9.0c might do it. If not, there's some more difficult conflict to find probably in OS settings or motherboard chipset drivers (the latter being easy to reinstall, but fair likelihood of inexperienced users screwing up their installation with wrong drivers or ones installed out of sequence).
I have the latest version of DirectX, and have reinstalled it.
It happens in both. No matter what Game Setup options i tweak, nothing changes the situation.
Other games, eg. freeware games not made with AGS, Commercial games, run fine.
1. Download Driver Cleaner Pro 1.5 (http://download.softpedia.com/software/tweak/DCProSetup_15.zip)
2. Uninstall your drivers.
3. Restart your computer. Upon reboot, press and hold f8 before windows boots until a screen comes up. On the screen, select the option that boots into safe mode. Choose it.
4. Boot into safe mode.
5. Once booted, run driver cleaner and remove all traces of nVidia. (this is fairly straightforward to do)
6. Reboot once again, load normal Windows.
7. Don't let windows install any drivers, if it tries.
8. Download the latest drivers for TNT2 (http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_93.71.html)
9. Install said drivers.
10. Reboot.
11. Run game.
If this doesn't work, get a new graphics card.

Are you referring to all drivers or simply the videocard drivers?
Note that [lgm] doesn't say re-install any other kind of drivers, therefore it is safe to assume he meant only any drivers that are for graphics cards. And I don't think anyone would suggest uninstalling ALL drivers unless your computer was going to blow up or something, mmkay! :)
