Hello everyone.  As some of you know I've been devoting a lot of free time lately to pooping around with Shockwave Flash (version 4.2; only the best for Mr. Vales!) and...well...

Long story short, Guitarman:  The Animated Series is now under construction.  

So I present for you, you who have inspired my creativity through Vales feedback, and helped with my website, and even integrated Guitarman into the RON universe...

I'm probably going to do a New Year's one, as well.

In case you couldn't tell, Guitarman cartoons will become a regular feature of the site...so look forward to many longer ones...as well as some more shorts.

But anyway, this project of mine really IS AGS related...because...remember how I've forsaken the PC in favor of the dignified Macintosh?  Well, AGS doesn't run on Mac, but obviously Flash DOES...

So I do have plans to resolve the Larry Vales story, just in a different media.  Yet I'm not sure if Larry is to be integrated into the Guitarman universe, or if he will just get a series of cartoons on his own.

But I'm very glad you all liked it.  It was my first project with Flash so it's not perfect...but all in good time, eh?

hey Phil! Don't forget I snapped up the rights to do a cross-over game where LV aquires a talking bum-end and meets (and marries) RL.
Just because I've not done it yet doesn't mean I've forgotten about it!

also: I love the cartoon, but couldn't you put some zany voices on to distnguish between the characters?

Yeah, maybe thats my problem with it. I always pictured Guitarman talking with a low grumbly kinda voice....The voice he has now is way to normal...

well it was his first guitarman animation and his first animation in flash at all [except those secret ones that he used to get through the cold nights alone...] so i think it's a good start. like with any animation the voices start out terrible and eventually the actors get used to the characters [think bender season 1]

only this time it's not actors just Phil... so what i'm saying really is "Phil j00 suxxx, d0 teh voises butter!"

and i always thought you were part Octopus

Good animation, very funny.
About the voices, good considering this is the first one, but i always pictured Guitarman's voice being a cross between the voice of 'Gopher' on the Winnie-The-Pooh cartoons and the voice of Grandpa Simpson.
A dash of common hobo, too.

To be honest, when we do the real episodes (hopefully 10 minutes or more each) it'll have more of a story, more Guitarman charm...and actual proper voice acting.  For the shorts I'm doing, it's just my voice...and I'm no actor.  But I still thought I'd show you guys what's brewin'.  I still love you, Squinky.  Against your will.

And Chill, check out one of my above posts...the LV series will be resolved, but in a series of Flash cartoons, and not AGS.

There's a lot more to come, don't worry...I was just looking for general feedback so far...and it all looks good.  Thanks everyone.  And Captain Mostly, GET AIM.
