A Game about Mark Lovegrove? WHERE DO I SIGN!?!?

"Clever, innit?"

One critique.. You have alot of wind-noise in some of your movies. You should definitely get rid of that some how!

Heh.. line of interest:

subject/place/important-thingie-------------------------object/place/important-thingie2

Line of interest is a straight line between for instance the protagonist and a hot co-ed. When you place the camera, you should always keep on the same side of that line while altering angles and zoom. You usually start with a placement-shot, and then mix between different angles to focus on specific parts in a dialogue or whatever your portraying. There's ofcourse not forbidden to break the line, if you do it clearly enough to be readable, or with a specific intention to fool the viewer.

http://www.errantstory.com/d/20050506.html - here we have two breaks in the line of interest, enough to confuse readers throughly. The elf is placed to the right, and walks away in that direction. Fine by me. But then she arrives at the bar from the left, adressing the barkeep. And in panel 4, this barkeep is saying her reply to the left side of the page. Now, this is a comic trick, she's actually turned towards the elf, which is placed in the previous panel, albeit it was rather poorly executed, and I doubted it was Poe's intention. Either way, when dealing with cinema, every picture is placed ontop of the other, and such footage would make the viewer assume the barkeep adressed the wall, and be a bit confused about how the elf arrived at the bar from the first place.

Now, you can break the line in such ways, by making another establish shot, like for instance showing the others in the background when she's arriving towards the bar or similar.

Ugh.. me ranting..

Good stuff m0ds, nicely filmed and believably acted. Bring on the full-length movie ;)

Well, I tried to download some of them but it's taking a very long time on my poor, old connection. I did see the Indiana Jones one though. Some of the shots were actually dead impressive.

Although I don't know why you're not composing your own music, Mr Lovegrove :P

I don't have enough ModPlug compatible instruments, thats all.

Enough about ModPlug. Even though this thread is a bit of a "mod plug". Yet again bigphat bring a little web movie. We shot this yesterday evening in an hour. This time I was in FRONT of the camera (god-damn) so please don't expect to hear any epic dialogue. :P Its 17mb for full-screen goodness, and as before I haven't composed the music for this myself. It has no official title but is called Ginger In The Dark for now, lol - and it's available here. (Please be fifteen or older! I don't want to pollute your minds with my foul-mouth :P) & if you have 56k...(Yufster)...you can check out the low quality "its a bit like a video on a mobile phone" version here :D

And previously in this thread I've been talking about Skanked Up - production has still been sporadic because of college & work but a trailer with a glimpse of a couple of new scenes is now available. 7mb this time :)

Sporadic production can also be said about the elusive FoY! I know that everyone is genuinly busy. We have no option. Luckily the demo is just around the corner, Jan has been preparing it & has done a great job in replicating the work YOke, Andrew & Radiant had done previously. This hasn't actually taken any longer than the first time round. But the question on most minds I should imagine (and hope) is where the hell is the full game?! Early indications that the script, (turned from my shoddy random one to Lorn's well researched masterpiece) would not take long to convert into a well written treatment we could all work from easily. It has, however, proven to be a bit of a mammoth :o I don't have time to write it myself right now, though my time is freeing up a little (especially weekday evenings) - so I am still considering looking for someone who essential has TIME to write a screenplay from the storyline Lorn has. The intro is certainly conrete :P & Miez is about to produce the final storyboard for the intro in the next couple of days & hopefully start immediate work on the backgrounds. This could still be months of development, so don't hold your breath yet, or you will, seriously, die. :P

Though there may be a lack of me, I am still here and hopefully working on the soundtrack for two very exciting up-coming AGS games, alongside with Scoreposer! The Screen 7 website has a front page now :P Plus I hope there's going to be loads of Hallow'een games! Anyway, as always - enjoy! Or be angered! Whatever :)

PS - Thanks Petteri!! Im glad you liked it!! Which reminds me, do you have a zip of your tunes with recent ones that I can enjoy at some-point? :D

Wow, cool clips! Very neat trailer of Skanked Up, lots of material I hadn't seen before. Ginger in the Dark was a nice short movie, similar to something I have tried to film with my friends a couple of times.

Keep it up, pal. I'm looking forward to your upcoming stuff, as always. :)
