Is your shift key broken Michael? I think you may need to buy a new keyboard.

Yay, we have finally found the right design for the new site! Can't believe how much work Loomy and Darth went through for nothing!

I love how the hyperlinks are to the pages of the new site. This website might be worse than AGS on MSDOS. :P

You forgot to replace Chris Jones with michael_p... you know, copyright is nothing these days.

We can do this?!? Just steal someone else's site and host it on your own server? Hells bells! And to think, every month I've been struggling to come up with content to put on my front page when I could have just copy/pasted Aint' It Cool News or FARK and been done with it.

Thank you, Mr. _p for showing me the way!

Actually it's always good have 1 or 2 mirrors of a site. Just in case. But for that one has to ask for permition. ;)

CJ, I've been trying to reverse-engineer AGS for days now, and I'm getting frustrated with it all... can you just give us the source code so I can make my own version of AGS and sell it?

CJ I've been trying to mass produce clones of you so I can sell the children on the black market. However I've been experiencing some difficulty obtaining a viable sample of your DNA. Would you mind terribly sending some along? Also it would be a great help if we had some type of trophy to mark our success once this is done, so if it's not too much, I'd actually much prefer you to send your arm or leg.

Thanks for your understanding and consideration!

Sincerely,

Kryss "Pumumuman" Joans

Spoiler
But seriously, theft/copyright-infringement is illegal now?

lol
TerranRich, Gilbet V7000a and monkey_05_06, you rock guys! ;D

btw Let me ask something: since this thread is very good for such questions :) I'm making a blog about adventure games and want to add links to the site, my own reviews of the games etc. Is this allowed? All the download links will point to the official AGS site + the things I'll write there will be my own creation. May I?

I don't see any problem if you're just linking to the AGS site. There is a problem with the site of the original poster is just because that site is a rip-off of the AGS official site.

Now wait just a cotton-pickin' minute... how did Scummbuddy come up with an action figure of CJ?

It was for a long time in the AGS-Wiki. :) Dunno how it happened though. :)

Gilbet V7000a, thanks for the answer. Will wait for one of the AGS-"staff" to confirm that before starting, but it's nice to have some idea how the things are. ;)

Why choose the domain www.mondo-networks.com as well? That's a bit... unrelated. :/

SSH has his own "blog about adventure games" and has "links to the site" and "reviews of the games". So of course it'd be perfectly fine.

I'd even say that it is a compliment to have a site doing AGS related reviews and linking to the original site. I like thy attitude, sire.

That action figure... uncanny likeness. Scary, huh?

Buy your own, and buy one for CJ for Mittens! (http://www.happyworker.com/geekman)

Edit*Weird url error. Thanks for the tip off, Domino.

Hey, it looks like there was an "update" to the link in the original post.

Granted, still a ripped banner (and then taken into MS Paint) and stolen html...

Now I know where to go should I ever get my time machine up and working- I always wanted to go way back to see the olden days again, when I had better theeth and AGS was a much cooler bit of software.
I need to quit the caffeine, and that guy needs to quit the ripping.
Can we close this, please, so he can open another thread and we can start it again, and again, and...

But not really making money yet?

I don't see prices on AGS nor ads (to use AGS as bait for advertising profit) on his page.
This Michael Prescott guy is not very good businessman, I say.

Let's sue his ass (http://www.who.is/whois/mondo-networks.com/)!

Who exactly will be downloading and using AC anyway?

I remember a few years ago I pulled out my 486 & tried my best to use DOS and make a QB game again, just to be able to say i finally finished one in DOS...but that got boring & annoying after the first 30 mins..

What's the difference between AC 1.0 and AC 1.0.0?
