... "The Genuine confessions of dr Jekyll and mr Hyde"!

This is our first album, read all about it here.

It is currently available as a downloadable torrent(32megs).

Basically, its mostly instrumental, with one 'real song', the title track.
The styles vary, although the most prominent one is rock. It is likely to appeal to anyone, especially the ones who have heard our music before and liked it.

A proper download url will appear shortly (hello AGA), but if you can and know how to, please use the torrent - it saves traffic and could be faster if more people use it.

Enjoy the album and do not forget to leave a comment.

Petteri and Vel

Edit: The album can be downloaded from here

Pet Terry

Yeah, leech it and seed it.

And listen to it.

Vel

Hm, it seems that you should currently use Azureus to download this torrent, sorry for the temporary inconvenience.

voh

It doesn't do anything currently. 0 seeders, 0 peers.

So yeah - I can host the file for a while, or for as long as you require it so those who either can't connect with a torrent client, or those who find it to be a very annoying medium to download a single file from (such as yours truly).

Hell, I could get you hosting anyway :P
Still here.

Vel

No need to, voh - we already have a host - AGA.

Here it is. Enjoy.

Pet Terry

Yeah, listen people! Vel makes amazing music.

I will download. But if Vel is involved I'm a bit sketchy.

Only kidding! I'm sure it's great. Will post later.

I think this album is very neat! I've always loved Petteri's and Vel's musics. There were quite many songs on this album I had already heard before but some of them were remade or fixed up a bit so it didn't matter that much. I liked the theme song of this album, The Genuine confessions of dr Jekyll and mr Hyde. The only problem was that I couldn't really catch the lyrics in the song before I read them from the website. But that's understandable, since neither of them is native english speakers.

Anyways, great job guys! Hoping to see more albums from you.

Ishmael

Many tunes that sounded more or less familiar, about half of which I couldn't figure out where I had heard them before. Very nice stuff, at any rate. Keep 'em coming.

One thing I wonder... Why are all the songs so short? Not that it's a bad thing at all, but I just wonder if there is any explanation to why you don't make longer songs?
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

<Calin> Ishmael looks awesome all the time

True, but there are 28 tracks and over 50 minutes of music on it.

Anyway, I've downloaded it a few days ago and listened it a couple times now. Great work guys. I can spot your styles mixed in the tracks and it works real well.

Vel

Hey, thanks for the nice words guys!
Ishmael: We kept the tracks short because they worked that way, instead of lengthening them to make a longer, yet supposedly repetitive listen.

Edit: If anyone would like write a review of the album we'd gladly put it on the site.

edmundito

It's very interesting how you guys made the album and yet you live far away from each other. You should mention that in the website you made!

Phemar

Vel

Edmundo, I guess you mean the tracks we composed together? If that is the case then we do it pretty much the way we would do it if we didnt live so far apart - discuss the tune /on irc/ and then write it /in midi/. Then we add instruments, variations and melodies to the midi till we are content.

And, indeed, happy birthday Petteri!

Damien

Well, bands are mostly making music in a same room, but you guys live in two different countries. This makes your album a but different than the most. I beileve that's what Edmundo ment.

And happy birthday Petteri.

Vel

Well yeah, but it is basically the same - discussing and playing our ideas. Of course, its a lot slower that way, but still, the idea is the same. Plus, the level of collaboration on most songs is quite low - only 3 songs were written by both of us, 23 were digitalised by me, and 2 were made and digitalised by Petteri. Well, and the occasional edit by either of us here and there, but that's nothing too big.

The Scorposer

I really enjoyed this album! It has an 80's-film-music-feeltm to it, which is a good thing in my book. Very nice! :D

Oh and; happy birthday, Petteri!

Pet Terry

Yay people like it \o/

Heh, it would have been interesting if we played all the instruments by ourselves while living in different countries. As Vel said, the songs were composed on the computer, so it wasn't really that big hassle to work on the album over the internet. Just making a midi, tossing it back and forth for a moment and then digitalising it. It's more of a collection of music we have made during the past couple of years, with some completely new tracks in the mix, arranged carefully into a nice playlist rather than an album some band would make. Or something.

Actually, I did play some of the keyboards, that's how I typed in some of the notes. I would modify them if they didn't turn out right though.

LGM

As I listened to this I was reminded of the Dawn of the Dead, only had it been made 10 years later.
