Okay, I have been searching for hours, even at work trying to find a movie that I had saw years ago.

I have been trying Google, with no luck.

I cannot remember who was in this movie, but all I can recall is that there was a large lottery glass globe that was filled with money.

Their were people who wanted to get that money and figured out how to crawl underneath the glass globe (similar to a snow globe), they cut open the bottom and sucked out all of the money.

All I remember from the end of the movie was the male and female characters laying in a hotel bed full of money. It was probably a movie from the late 70's to early 80's.

I want to find out the name of this movie so I can rent it on NetFlix, but for the life of me, I cannot even come close to finding it.

What I mean by Lottery glass globe is, where there is a giant round glass container filled with money flying around and a person is inside and has to grab as much as possible.

Please Help me, I really want to watch this movie again.

Have you tried searching on IMDB.com? It might return some usefull results.

Domino

I tried IMDB. If only I could remember the actors in it.

I was asking people at work and they had no idea.

Damn, this is eating me up. I thought It was Burt Reynolds or Kurt Russell, but nothing came up.

"How to Beat the High Co$t of Living"?

It's a 1980 comedy, which seemingly features a plot about trying to steal money out of a giant clear plastic globe situated in the middle of a mall.

It's the closest thing I can find.

QuoteAt the peak of their woes, Elaine visits the local mall, where an acquaintance (Cathryn Damon) has pushed her into helping out with lighting a small pageant being held there. Making a phone call, she stares at the large, clear ball in the middle of the mall which is soon due to hold thousands and thousands of dollars in a giant cash "give away" and suddenly formulates the idea of stealing the money so the three of them can all get the money they need. She calls them to the mall, where they scheme to steal the money during the "give away" by drilling a hole beneath the cash ball and sucking out as much cash as possible with a high-powered vacuum, then escaping to the river in back of the mall.

LimpingFish, You may have found gold at the end of the rainbow. That is the same plot I was looking for.

Thank You very much...Now I know what to rent.

Cheers my friend,
Shawn

Sounds like a whack film! I'll have to check it out sometime!

OT I'm afraid, but I'm "trying to find" something.

Does anyone remember the URL for the old AGS EZ-Boards?

Seems at the moment it's listed everywhere as "dosuserforums.yuku.com" but I'm trying to get the original EZboard URL, if anyone knows? It started with something like http://p094, as all e"zed"boards did back then. I realise it's dead but I'm hoping to have a bit of an old read via archive.org.

Thanks :)

I think it was this: http://p094.ezboard.com/fdosuserforumsadventuregamestudio

But The archive machine shows nothing. And when you put that in, it transfers it to the Yuku forums.

Got the movie from NetFlix, watched it, and why on Earth did I want to watch this pile of garbage. It was not funny at all. I am sorry I asked.

It was as much fun watching as getting hit over the head with another dead Xbox360.

off-topic, but my second xbox360 got the RROD and MS seems clueless. MS can lick my sweaty balls.

Well, when they do get sweaty.

edit: We should have a sticky thread when people are trying to find something instead of always having to start a new thread. Just an Idea.

Well why don't we use this thread? :P

Anyway don't you hate how you remember a movie being much better than it was when you first watched it eons ago?
Well this is my case.  Except I've been unable to find out what this movie is called, and I don't even really remember it much.

Here's what I remember:
I believe it may have been a kids movie.  It's about (from what I remember) Vampires, Werewolves, Mummies, the whole shebang.  I could be wrong and it may have been Vampires only?
I remember this kid, around the midpoint of the movie, writing a letter to the US army telling them of the situation and asking for help--saying the world was at stake or going to end.
All the kids end up solving the Vampire, Werewolves, Mummies, whichever, situation all on their own (somehow).  At the very end, I believe they were standing on a path or something, and all these tanks and army jeeps came rolling in to save the day, although being too late cause the kids did it.

Ya.  I know what you're going to say.  That's a horrible memory you have there Ryan.
I believe I watched the movie when I was babysat as a youngin.  That was perhaps 15 or longer years ago.

The movie is Monster Squad, it's not as good as you may remember it.

The Monster Squad, eh.  Looked at the photos of it on IMDB, it looks really poor.  It's impressive how good the crappy kid movies are when you're a kid.

I'll still download it and watch it.  Thanks!

Shane 'ProgZmax' Stevens

Monster Squad is awesome!  I bought the collector's dvd of it (and I rarely do that), partly because Stan Winston and his studio handled all the monster effects :D.
